Jane Fonda slammed for not paying female employees
Yahoo! Movies ^ | August 16, 2007

Posted on 08/19/2007 3:52:10 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Veteran actress and feminist Jane Fonda has been slammed for not paying her female employees working in the actress' radio network Green Stone Media.

The twice Oscar winner and the radio network's co-founder Gloria Steinem have been accused of "putting their own reputations above their female employees' finances."

According to the New York Post, Fonda and Steinem are 'refusing to pay severance, and the founders won't file for bankruptcy protection because it would publicly embarrass Jane and Gloria.'

However, the 'Klute' star's spokesperson has denied the reports and said that the accusations are unfounded.

"This is pure speculation. There is no foundation to the accusations and the staff has been informed throughout." Contactmusic quoted Fonda's spokesperson, as saying.

They always end up being exactly what they decry in everyone else, don’t they?

I’ve heard that Ralph Nader is especially bad to work for.

Jane is perhaps the only person on the planet that I can honestly say I hate. When she placed her personal appearance in Hanoi over the safety of POWs having spent years in the Hanoi Hilton and other like places in Vietnam, I developed a dislike for this animal that hasn’t abated in thirty-five or so years. I will loathe her ‘till my last breath, and I can also honestly say, that if there were one person I could advocate on behalf of to get them a ticket to hell, this would be the bitch I’d do it for.

This report doesn’t surpise me one bit. Anyone who would play into the North Vietnamese plans to torture our POWs further hadn’t a shred of morals then, and wouldn’t be likely to develop one over the years.

For all Jane’s care about the Vietnamese and others in the region when the NVC were killing them, not us, she didn’t wimper a single audible sound when two million Cambodians and about a million Vietnamese were killed after we left.

This bitch is a genocide enabling turn coat of the lowest order. May God not rest her soul...

These women deserve what happened to them as they chose to work for a traitor. They probably agree with her politically anyway.

I can only speak for myself, but I would list two. As much as I hate Hanoi Jane, I also hate John Kerry and I am unable to determine which of these traitorous scum I hate more.

He’s not a favorite of mine by any means. I think he’s a despicable human being to be sure. I’m not aware that he went to the North and protested later in the war. If he had, I’d have the same exact opinion of him.

I realize it’s an individual call, but she still has a special spot in my heart. I’ve explained what it is, and I wasn’t kidding.

I know where you are coming from though, and I can’t say as I blame you at all.

I'm sure you're right. I'm sure the phrase "couldn't happen to a better bunch of wenches" applies in this case.

Name a single liberal or leftist who did. None of them gave two hoots about any of the hundred million who died under communist rule in the 20th century.

As much as I despise Fonda, "severance pay" is not a legal right in the absence of a contractual obligation.

You can add Tom Harkin to the list. According to Tom, nothing happened to the South Viets when we left. Of course, Harkin had a little mix up over his “duking it out with N. Viet Migs over Hanoi” story too.

I sure wasn’t aware of STEINEM’s early professional propaganda work for the CIA, but it sure explains the way she was able to manipulate America’s Media to her Anti-U.S. causes during the Vietnam War..?

Jane suffers from the same “condition” that Hillary does.

They both had detached, authoritarian fathers who they believe picked on them, and they have spent most of their lives acting out their revenge by trying to change daddy’s world.

Which explains most of the liberal mindset.

George Orwell: “The problem with you all you lefties, is that your’re just mad at your daddies”.

Jane will have to answer for what she did. God forgives everything, but first you have to be remorseful, and she’s never uttered one word of real apology, only to say she was ‘young’, as if that excuses the horror. She should have gotten down on her knees to the entire country years ago; she should go to Arlington on a yearly basis and do a mea culpa. But she remains an empty headed Liberal/communist fellow traveler, willing to shove our corpses under Lenin’s bulldozer as long as it doesn’t hit her. She’ll be among the first to don a burkha. Like John Kerry.

somewhat confusing:
Not paying as in working without pay ? or
Not paying severance ?

1. Why keep working for someone who isn’t paying you ?

2. Since when is severance pay is a right ?

There is no foundation to the accusations...

Interesting, and carefully chosen words.

Could there be any "truth" to the accusations?

As for Traitor Jane, here is a true-believing Marxist with no feeling for this great Country, and nothing even close to a conscience.

Like all liberals/Marxists, she has absolutely no idea of how wonderfully well she (and also the proletarian middle class) are doing in this great Country; and, Fonda has no concept of just how miserable she (and the proletariat) would be if she ever gets her wish for a global Utopian collective.

My niece has been a leftist since she graduated from CU about twenty years ago. She married and corrupted a weak USAFA graduate and his leftist ideology resulted in a quick exit from the USAF. He and my niece now have a fast-growing environmental consulting business. One of my brothers asked my niece if she and here husband planned to share their profits with their employees. Her answer: “No!”
