My wife and I were seriously considering a cruise to the Cancun next month for our 25th wedding anniversity. Not it looks as if there may not be any Cancum for a while. Plan B, whatever that is.

The Caribbean hurricane season lasts from June through the end of October. Most hurricanes occur in September, with August being the second most frequent month. I would never go anywhere near the Yucatan or the Caribbean in the summer or early fall. Not only do you risk a ruined trip, and disaster, but even if there isn’t a hurricane is it unbelievably hot and humid. I made that mistake once, back in the 80s, and I won’t make it again. Not a summer place.

Hurricane Dean spared the Cayman Islands - Many offshore accounts held by wealthy Republican donors spared. Some experts cite evidence of the Carl Rove weather machine in engineering the near miss.

Forget the Caribbean. Take a cruise in the Baltic Sea instead.

Try St. Thomas or St. Croix . I don’t think you even need a passport like going to peurto Rico .

If the track of the hurricane is anywhere near correct; Cancun won't get much more than rain and no high winds. - tom

I hope it flattens Mexico.

I don’t. They get enough money from US already.

You are correct.
Only the gods know what Bush will send in aid with our tax money.
I will have to think of somemthing else.
To: stm
Have you noticed it has not hit anything the media and forecasters have said it would.

If it does flatten Mexico, then there will be long term jobs galore. Let’s see who leaves to go home to help out.
Jobs Mexicans won’t do....

Okay...Here it goes:
I hope the hurricane takes a different route and flattens Washington, D.C.

As long as it stays away from Cabo, I don’t care. I will be there in 4 weeks. I can’t wait, I think I can taste the Margarita’s already.

Hurricane Dean Spares Cayman Islands, Aims for Mexico First this storm was "aiming" for Jamaica, and missed. Then it was "aiming" for the Cayman Islands and missed.
I am beginning to think that this storm has pretty poor aim!
