Plus besides them being released in an Albanian village and the stolen car not being seen in Gracanica, you also have the typical Albanian M.O. of intercepting travelers by blocking the road and then assaulting and stealing from them. This has been also the Albanian method of assassinations, especially political assassinations of fellow Kosovo Albanians. They also have a hundreds years of blocking the roads and robbing and killing Serbs in Kosovo. They were a mountain people, like the Chechens of Russia, and that is what they've tended to do more often than other ethnic groups.
Thanks. It just seemed from the scant info in he article that people were jumping to conclusions. We look like lunatics if we attribute every crime in the world to Islamic radicals. With your post it makes a lot more sense.
and yes, that was an Albanian hide spot..possible RPG attack or scout location? it was an effective concealment position..very unrecognizable unless you were looking for it in that location.. the people who built it knew what they were doing.
What happened, you steal their pack of smokes? I bet it's because you're just so damned pretty and they were hungry for that arse of yours Sunshine!
well, you know my lovely personality, all loves me... Actually, I'm a very charming charasmatic bloke when mingling with the natives. How do you suppose that Albanian family on the Kos/Serb line near Novi Pazar invited me for dinner and a sleepover? hmmm :) Of course, they thought I was a Texan with my former Houstonian accent..:)
You should have thrown bars of soap at them, that would have kept them back. Better than garlic that soap....
feel free to read as I'm Blue Hawaii
Do you mean the individual who stated the following:
mark502inf: " Well Bokababe, a Hoplite is a citizen-soldier in one of the old Greek city-states. So you have that wrong, too.
And Formerlib & Montyspython, Hoplite was a volunteer soldier in the U.S. Army who did his duty as an infantryman on the DMZ in Korea as well as in the L.A. riots as a Guardsman. Since both of you have denigrated his service, please let us know about all you've done to serve your country? By "your country", I'm talking about the USA, btw, which may rule you guys out. But please do tell if you can."
Mark and Hoplite are real heroes - are they not? (sigh)...Such exalted views they have of themselves.
You should ask that guy "Navy Recon" if he knows what DESBU means? :-)
