Shoot! I thought it was going to be Ramsey Clark. I don’t think there has been a tyrant or murderer who was anti-american that he wouldn’t defend.

French lawyer Francois Roux, who defended the only man convicted in the September 11 attacks on the United States, was sworn in Wednesday as a defence lawyer for Khmer Rouge prison chief Duch, according to officials

Considering this lawyer’s record .... I’m kinda glad he is defending the warden. I suspect this will turn out to be a conviction as well.

There is one significant difference between the Khmer Rouge prison commandant and Moussaoui. The former was repentant over his actions, the latter is to this day still preaches absolute hate for the US. The story of Khang Khek Ieu’s capture is interesting in itself. He was recognized by an asian newspaper reporter working for a Christian relief group under a false name in Cambodia near the Thai border. When confronted, he admitted his true identity, expressed great remorse at his actions, and eventually handed himself into authorities in Phnom Penh for arrest and trial.

Kind of ironic that a Frenchman would be defending a regime that hated the French

Maybe he can still find a very old Nazi war criminal somewhere to represent and have a trifecta.
