David Stern! Calling David Stern! Please pick up the white courtesy phone!

NBA players are saying that the felony of dogfighting is just sport. Your league is continuing to implode.

Any comment, David?

I think he has a point. Are we allowed to kill animals or not?

What part of dog-fighting being a felony do you not understand?

Dog fighting is considered cruelty to animals and rightfully so.

You’re absolutely right. I know hunters who shoot the legs out from deer and then slash them with razors until they die a slow, painful death.

When I catch a fish, especially a short, I make sure that I rip the hook out of its guts before I throw it back to die.

If I can’t keep it, why should I let it live?

Deliberate cruelty is horrendous and inhuman.

I eat meat. I love fishing. Anyone who cannot understand the difference between killing a chicken for food and betting on cockfights is too dense to understand anything.

Me, too. I think it was the tatoos on his neck that made me think that.

From what I hear, Stephon Marbury is an idiot. It’s just out in the open.

He has now removed any doubt.

You are not allowed to fight dogs in Virigina and there are serious penalties if you should.

From the article...’it’s unknown how it will affect his football career.’

Uh...how about ‘over’.

I’ve known Stephon since his high school days. My niece was a cheerleader at Lincoln H.S. when he was playing.

He was an idiot then. He’s an idiot now. And he descends from a long line of nitwits.

The most important quality for a winning point guard is gray matter. NY Knicks fans had the privilege of watching Walt Frazier ply his trade on that same hardwood. Stephon is a disgrace. If Isiah lets this last outrage stand without comment he should be run out of town... along with James (Sonny Boy) Dolan.

“No team will ever contend for a championship with Stephon Marbury playing point.”

That’s not me talking. That’s former team mate Tom Gugliotta.

BTW: Isiah and Dolan should be run out of town regardless.

We are allowed to kill animals as quickly and cleanly as possible.

We are not allowed to torture them or otherwise intentionally inflict pain on them for our jollies.

People who do torture animals and hurt them for fun are people who will do the same to their fellow human beings given the opportunity.

Hmmm,

Well, guess there are gonna be a whole bunch of rural kids locked up as felony perp’s for fighting ole Fido. As a dog lover and owner for all of my life, I do not condone being cruel to animals. “However”, dogs as with other domestic animals, are private property. As such, the owner has a right to kill these animals. Now, electrocution, drowning, banging a dog’s head against a concrete wall does seem somewhat excessive. But, is this actually against the law? Those of us who were raised on farms and ranches are well aware of what happens to dogs that run cattle, especially those that are pregnant, chase milk cows, kill chickens, eat eggs, etc, etc. The answer for you city dwellers is shot dead in the head. Actually, when we cut to the chase on Vick's crime(s), the only thing he is guilty of is the gambling component.

WE do not hang, electrocute or slam dogs into the ground. WE don’t take little puppies or stray dogs and feed them to fighting dogs for bait and to get a taste for flesh. WE are not allowed to run an illegal operation which not only includes canine abuse and murder but illegal gambling, drugs, money laundering, etc.

True. But they should be criminally prosecuted only when they do harm human beings, not private property.

I have not been able to enjoy pro basketball since around 1990. The entire league is filled with high-profile idiots.

You think of Marbury vs. Walt Frazier. I think of Allen Iverson vs. Dr. J or Mo Cheeks.

Class is gone.

Really. Cruelty to humans? That’s a misdemeanor.
