On August 28th, Jesse Jackson and his band of gun grabbers are gathering in District Heights MD. In attendance and speaking will be Mayor Centy of DC, Jack Johnson, Prince Georges County Executive, and other assorted gun grabbers.
We are proud to be able to announce that Second Amendment Sisters will be holding a counter protest in front of Realco Guns, Inc. This is located directly next to where Jesse and friends are assembling.
The "festivities" begin at 12 noon, and are scheduled to last until 2 PM. The address of the Gun Shop is
Real Guns, Inc
6108 Marlboro Pike
District Heights MD 20747
We are inviting all freepers who are in the area to join us in this counter protest to the Reverrrrrrrrrrrnd Jack-son and his cohorts.
The bigger our counter protest, the better, so please, everyone who can possibly make it, come on out and support Second Amendment Sisters, and other pro gun organizations at this event. We have heard that the "Million Mommies" will be in attendance in force, to support Jesse .
Ping!
I’m a refugee from that part of the country, but still have many friends and family living under the tyranny of the thug Democrats there. I wish you all well in this effort. Prince George’s County under Jack Johnson is well on its way to achieving “third world” status - just as D.C. has been for 30 years.
How many of you are attractive and single? :)
ALL OF US ARE ARMED AND DANGEROUS, though.
Any more questions?

Jesse Jackson targets District Heights gun shop
The District Heights gun store singled out last month by a regional task force for being the No. 1 source of recovered weapons in the District has been chosen as the site of a gun violence protest Aug. 28.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow PUSH Coalition, a national social justice organization, are planning a national day of protests against gun violence, and chose Realco Guns Inc. in District Heights as the Washington, D.C., location. Jackson has not yet decided which protest he will attend.
A gun trafficking task force announced last month that police traced 76 firearms recovered in the District last year to Realco, making it the top source of recovered weapons in the Washington, D.C. Police recovered 2,656 guns last year.
Rainbow PUSH D.C. office manager Steven Smith said the coalition chose Realco as the location for the protest because of its proximity to the District and because of its connection with recovered weapons.
He said District Mayor Adrian Fenty and County Executive Jack B. Johnson are expected to attend.
The protest starts at noon.
Thanks for the additional information, Kristinn. Hope you will have time to join SAS and the rest there.
Bump!
Well single is important, but you know they are all armed. That's got a certain attractiveness in itself.
Basil is a babe though. But she's a Texan and she might have husband, also quite likely to be armed. You'll have to take your chances.
More like a criminal organization. Probably trying to "shake down" the gun shop for a "contribution", aka "protection money".
This is outrageous because Realco was singled out since it’s close to DC and 0.0003% (rounding up!) of the guns recovered in DC last year were traced to Realco. These guns could have been recovered in traffic violations or from people like Jim Webb’s assistant, who forgot to remove it from their briefcase before entering the city in their rush to get to work on time! Hardly a smoking gun, if you get my drift.
Try buying a gun from this store sometime and wade through the endless ID checks, forms, and Maryland waiting period required for “Brady” checks, and you’ll realize this dealer is being railroaded for purely political purposes.
The police spend so much time doing data entry and retrieval they don’t have time to go after murderers, rapists, and child molesters. The Second Amendment Foundation listed a study that showed “less than one handgun in 6,500 is ever used in a homicide.” Statistically, that’s zero!
On the Brady background check, the SAF states, “2,356,376 background checks were performed the first year the Brady law took effect, at a cost of about $24 dollars per check. Of those checks, only four prosecutions were initiated. That’s 14.1 million dollars per prosecution. Plus, local law enforcement agencies had to take officers off of the streets, and put them behind desks to process applications and perform background checks.”
Talk about statistical insanity! The Bradys, Million Moms, and Jesse Jackson and his Rainbow Push are all about inciting mass hysteria.
What’s it all really about? Obama wants to ban all private ownership semi-automatic firearms. Can you say tyranny? Jackson is a political animal, and doesn’t care that gun bans were used to keep African-Americans in slavery. George Mason, in the Virginia Convention, actually noted that restricting access to firearms was the best way to enslave people! So here are two leading African-American public figures advocating enslaving even more Americans, and one of them may be our next president.
Totally insane. I say get out to Realco or another local shop on the 28th and exercise your rights (at least temporarily) guaranteed by the second amendment. Our constitution itself is at stake and liberty is on the chopping block
She does have a husband. You should be in the same room as 10 of these Sisters. They exude a certain aura. Hmmmm
Wish I could be there in DC and would be if it wasn’t a weekday.
My type of women!
Armed that is!
Bravo, 2AS folks! Can’t be there, but at least I can bump your thread.
I just re-read the date, unfortunately I have a flight out of Dulles the day before :(
Next time though, because this one wont be buried until the Supreme court upholds that Parker case!
I need to sleep more. Correction to the percentage of guns recovered in DC that initially came from Realco — it’s 3% (the % of guns used in homicides listed later in my rant remains 0).
And I’ll add that these guns may have been stolen years earlier from homes in Maryland and just showed up in DC last year.
I’m still frosted—this amounts to a hatchet job on an ethical, hard-working small businessman who has been a positive influence in our community for years.
That’s our only hope at this point—that enough “friendly” judges are now on SCOTUS to uphold the second amendment as it was intended by our founders.

Mom- That “aura” is called CONFIDENCE....LOL
PING!
On August 28, activists in cities across America will hold a national day of protest to focus attention on the scourge of illegal gun trafficking. The date is the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s historic March on Washington in 1963.
The Brady Campaign with its network of Million Mom March Chapters is supporting the efforts of Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition to draw attention to gun violence by organizing local events to be held in cities across America. So far, local activists have confirmed more twenty events, and more are expected.
Among the activities on the 28th will be
In addition, a statewide letter writing campaign is being organized in California to build support for a crime-fighting “microstamping” bill being considered by the State Legislature.
The August 28 rallies will focus the public and push leaders at all levels of government to take action against the illegal gun market and to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals.
Will the reverend Jesse Jackson be brining along his child that he had with his mistress while cheating on his wife?
One just never knows.....
SAS Bump! I can’t be there, but I’ll be buying ammo and a new gun on the 28th.
Bang
BUMP
Sorry you can’t make it, Ed-—but good on you for buying a gun and ammo on the 28th!
BTTT
Or Hoppes...;-)
LOL I forgot about the eau du No. 9......
One more day!
And they are predicting the coolest day in weeks and slightly cloudy, so it should be a fun party. We have quite a few people from different activist orgs, blogs, clubs, etc. planning to show up. Jeff Knox (of The Firearms Coalition) himself will be there—a great honor, since he coined “National Exercise Your Rights Day!”
We have links to maps and schedules for those driving and taking Metro at
www.2asisters.net/md
and Knox has posted a press release at
http://www.theopenpress.com/index.php?a=press&id=22586
I look forward to meeting Freepers on Tuesay at RealCo!
BTTT
I will be there! ...and I will make a purchase of some sort.
Can’t wait, I am sure we will outnumber them 10-1
Good for you! I will be there in spirit.—Hope Jesse shows up—LOL!
In Maryland (the DC event), the state police auditors (Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s henchmen) showed up to do an unscheduled audit of RealCo’s books just as the event started (can you say “dirty politicians”?), and the District Heights Mayor actually spewed threats and intimidating remarks indicating he won’t stop until he closes RealCo down.
Lots of bad statistics were mentioned (76 guns out of 2,626 guns “related to crimes” in DC from 2006 came from RealCo, for example). That number is less than 3% and the crime could have had nothing to do with guns. They also said 15% of dealers sell all the guns “related to crimes,” but failed to say the government has closed down 79% of these dealers since 1994 through intimidation, taxes, and expensive permits.
Marion Barry showed up, and started chanting “Let’s padlock it”, but no one joined him.
It was a fun day, starting off with Second Amendment Sisters finding a source for a sound system so we weren’t limited to a bullhorn. The building that was to supply our electricity had no power feeding the outlet, so RealCo let us hook up to their store and run an extension cord.
To protect the pro-gun group(!), the police enclosed us in crime tape so Jesse’s posse couldn’t spit on us, spray us with water, or do the other ugly things they typically do at such events. They had their usual 32 people lie down in front of RealCo and play dead (which makes one wonder about the actual number of people who chose to attend their rally on their own).
RealCo did a good business, as people showed their support by purchasing items. I purchased a high end gun-smithing kit, and my S.O. bought a new magazine for a bullseye match pistol.
The Freepers who showed up were amazing—they were quick to turn the antis’ chants against them!
Estimates were that over the 2 hours of the rally, we had 50 and they had 95, and their numbers included the press and body guards!
Thanks everyone who came out to support our RKBA across the Nation!
Correction, 2,656 guns in lieu of 2,626
