So while Ron Paul may be considered an unelectable kook, he will still get many more votes than a true Libertarian?

Libertarians don't win elections either. We'll only know that if he runs 3rd party. He has name recognition, so I'd speculate he could come in ahead of a Libertrian candidate.

Well, this just makes me want to vote for Rudi, now.

Whoever wrote this writes as if he’s a condescending dick. I love how he has the attitude that he’s so much smarter than everyone else and has to tech them a lesson. What an a-hole.

I'm sure you're really making an effort but if this is supposed to give anybody serioiusly considering supporting Ron Paul a reason to walk away from his candidacy I think you'll have to try a little harder.

Ron Paul gets my vote for a lot of reasons. His belief in small government, low taxes, individual freedoms and a strong national defense centered on America's interests and the recognition that the reason our armed forces exist is to defend the US and not wander around the world looking for trouble or maintaining large permanent forces overseas are all reflected in a consistent voting record that nobody else in Washington can begin to approach all, along with a host of other issues, make him my clear choice.

As far as his requests for earmarks or assistance for his district are concerned I can't pretend to know what he has, and perhaps even more important, hasn't sought. FWIW, I've been active in politics at the federal level for over thirty years and constituent requests are a fact of life. Some have merit, some don't, but they're never in short supply.

Liberty Reborn is the official website of J.J. Jackson.
Mr. Jackson's writings are pro America and defend the concepts of individual liberty, unalienable rights stemming from God, and the concepts of limited government set forth in the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

[His writings are fine except when he gets off on a hissy fit about Ron Paul, also a defender of the concepts of individual liberty, unalienable rights, and limited government.]

His writings are generally what are considered 'conservative' or 'libertarian' in nature and while Mr. Jackson accepts the term conservative as a label he prefers to be known as a libertarian or a constitutionalist.

[Too bad he taints his own credentials as a libertarian/ constitutionalist by nitpicking at Ron Paul's]

Liberty reborn contains past articles written by J.J. Jackson, information about sites that currently publish his work, how you can publish his work on you own site, and assorted other information.
You agree that by reading this site you hold Mr. Jackson completely NOT responsible for any mental anguish you may suffer from reading an opinion that your brain may not be able to comprehend or handle.

Reading his site convinces me that JJ is suffering from a great deal of mental anguish and envy due to Paul's successes as a candidate. - Tough noooogies.

"This defense is like saying that a man who robs a 7-11 for $50 and gives it to his mother to pay for her hospital bills is less guilty of theft than a man who holds up the bank, takes $1,000,000 and flees to the Bahamas."

If you deliberately violate one law, you're guilty of violating all of them, according to an ancient saying. I agree, there are no degrees of guilt or pregnancy.

Paul: The GOP’s Jimmy Carter.

I don't think Carter's in favor of border security or trying to install leftist dictators in 3rd world hellholes.

Sorry, your miserable comparison failed.

Paul has already stated that he won't run as a 3rd party or independent candidate.

It's funny how you guys will trash Paul but then fret deep down that he doesn't run 3rd party, knowing that he'll easily throw the election to Hillary.

Essentially he's providing a discription of Ron Paul's supporters, largely on earmarks. I can't imagine the authors opinions would change any of their minds, else they wouldn't be supporters.

Then we're never going to know if he'll draw more votes that a Libertarian candidate, will we. This appears to me to be legitimate criticism, there are articles out there to post if one want's to trash Ron Paul. But then in somewhat cultish fashion, many of his supporters can't tolerate criticism of any kind.

Or maybe he’s just gotten people to support him by rattling off the federal agencies he wants to abolish and by talking about resepecting the 2nd amendment. But, hey, I bet keeping the IRS around to practice legalized theft and infringing upon our natural right to defend ourselves can be good, solid conservative positions. Just ask Sean Hannity, the party whore.

It really doesn’t matter who the Republican nominee is. This country will get what it deserves: Her Dark Reptilesbian Overlordessness will ascend to the Cherry-blossom Throne.

It really is a shame that the people of this country have collectively decided to throw away the heritage of personal liberty and freedom that was so hard won.

Socialism uber alles.

Naah, there's an undercover movement here at FR. Used to be the accusation was trying to nominate Giuliani, now it's trying to elect Hillary. Maybe both. Anyone who doesn't support Paul is a Giuliani or Hillary supporter. Nothing cultlike in that reasoning.
