Coming off the Iowa Straw Poll the momentum for the Ron Paul 2008 campaign continues to build. Congressman Ron Paul has finished in the top 5 in 16 of the last 17 straw polls and can claim 1st place victories in New Hampshire, North Carolina, Washington, and Alabama.
In comparing results head-to-head, Congressman Paul has blown away most of the field, defeating Rudy Giuliani in 15 of the 17 polls and John McCain in 15 of the 16 polls.
There are straw polls coming up all across the country so be sure to check in with your local GOP to find out when you can vote for Ron Paul next.

LOL. That’s pathetic.
a molehill out of a molehill.
Is the Ron Paul campaign shipping these supporters to the straw polls to vote in them? Or is there a significant bloc os support for him among Republican voters?
Want to know how Rompin’ Rudi stacks up against Mitt the Hairdo?

Mitt loses big time.
Wow, he's beating two RINO's
When you put it in prospective, that's not really a huge accomplishment.
Let's see what happens when he gets to Florida. I just KNOW no one will give him any oranges......
Paul’s not destroyed yet. Seems the smear campaign against him is not working too well. What next?
The only way for Ron Paul to take the nomination would be to set fire to the Reichstag....
The only way for Ron Paul to take the nomination would be to set fire to the Reichstag....
Wow. John McCain will dropped off.
His campaign HQ is about 2 miles from my house. You wouldn’t even know it was in that building if not for a small sign in the window. Let me tell you, a little modesty, honesty, and frugality is refreshing.
I had a straw poll at our block party last night and Ron Paul won by a margin of 2 to 1.
But I had throw out one of Paul’s votes because my cat was only supposed to use his ink stained paw once.
So it was a tie.
I can only say this. The Washington Republican poll picnic was crashed by a large crowd of ‘Ron Paul supporters’, resembling unwashed dopers mostly. So that’s how Ron Paul won the straw poll in Washington State. By far leftists using RP to promote their own anti-war agenda.
Any other reports out there?
I don’t think his campaign has ever has had control of his supporters, the central HQ I think is pretty unimportant at this point... :)
We shall see what this all translates into. :)
I heard the campaign theme song will be “shrimp boats are coming”.
Strafford County is a very left leaning county. It wouldn’t surprise me that Paul would get a majority of the cut-n-run republican votes.
How much money did you lose this time?
Smart cat!
You can say that again...
“Smart cat!”
I’m not sure.
For some reason he was frothing at the mouth last night before he voted, I guess we need to get the rabies vaccine up to date.
He might have also been woozy from the litter box stench also.

I take great comfort in seeing “wouldn’t vote” now tied with Paul.
I think these straw polls show that the party is divided on Iraq. Paul’s position is the minority position within the GOP, but the majority position within the electorate as a whole. My worry is that making this the litmus test issue is going to give us President Hillary with a Democratic Congress.
There are a lot of people who would do well to see that support for the Iraq war is not a winning issue.
Here are some more ‘Conservative(sic)’ votes by Paul:
Voted NO on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes.
Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research.
Voted NO on barring transporting minors to get an abortion.
Voted YES on funding for alternative sentencing instead of more prisons.
