Howie Carr Show live thread. Howie is back from his week's vacation today.
Still no word on fate of Howie, whose contract with flagship WRKO is due to expire on Sept. 19. He hopes to jump to WTKK FM 96.9 shortly thereafter but for now, cue up George Harrison's "The Sue Me, Sue You, Blues"...As soon as I hear definitively what's going on with Howie I'll pass it on.

One of the comments at savewrko.com mentioned something about callers should say they support Howie "96.9 percent of the time."
yeah that was me (96.9 per cent of the time)! I also suggested someone could say, as an inside joke, “Howie, you’re one
of the greater media people we have in this town” (well,
maybe “greatest” would sound better but Greater Media of
course is 96.9’s owner.
Although, I can generally tell if it's a post by Jimmy Severino...
racoon, I was flipping around and I just heard Jay Severin going on about what a great fall we are going to have on 96.9 (but he can’t talk about it yet) and “we are going to have a revamped line-up here with talent unmatched by any other talk station”.
