Peres on Sept 5th goes to Vatican to see if Catholic Church will oversee the Temple Mount

Posted on 08/27/2007 7:32:03 PM PDT by Scythian

Shimon Peres is going to see the Pope on September 5th to see if the Catholic Church will oversee the temple mount. The reason is the his plan to negotiate for sharing it with the Muslim as outlined in a final status deal with the Palestinians before an international conference in November.

Peres quietly drafted a plan for the Jewish state to evacuate and transfer to the Palestinians nearly the entire West Bank and several Arab Israeli cities located within territory that undisputedly is Israel's according to the international community.

The diplomatic sources also said earlier this U.S.-brokered month biweekly meetings between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas are being utilized to draft the outline of a permanent status deal ultimately yielding a Palestinian state scheduled to be aired in public at the November summit, which is being organized by the U.S.

Instead of a slow progression toward peace which will never work as the terrorists don't want peace, the goal is and end-round run around the process and move straight to the end, peace will be declared and the terrorists will be left scratching thier heads. Only, there's a big miscalculation, it won't bring peace, but an utter revoltion in the Muslim world. There are many who think we are quickly appraoching the prophecy of 2 billion people being wipded out, in fact, they think we are less than 12 months from a major catstrophic world wide conflict, are they right? I'm not sure. However, with the US helping to lead the push and now Tony Blair in his new role, and a potential win by Hellary appointing Bill Clinton as our Mideast ambassador, I think there is much reason for concern.

We are heading, IMHO, into the end which is going to come like a thief in the night.

The Army Of Black Flags

The Mahdi’s ascendancy to power is said to be preceded by an army from the east who will be carrying black flags or banners of war.  Sheikh Kabbani states:

Hadith indicate that black flags coming from the area of Khorasan will signify the appearance of the Mahdi is nigh.  Khorasan is in todays Iran, and some scholars have said that this hadith means when the black flags appear from Central Asia, i.e. in the direction of Khorasan, then the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent. 17

Another tradition states that:

The Messenger of Allah said: The black banners will come from the East and their hearts will be as firm as iron.  Whoever hears of them should join them and give allegiance, even if it means crawling across snow. 18

In Islam there are two flags.  One is white and one is black.  Written across both flags in Arabic are the words, “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger”.  The white flag is called Al-Liwaa and serves as the sign for the leader of the Muslim army and is the flag of the Islamic State.  The black flag is called Ar-Raya and is used by the Muslim army. It is also called the flag of jihad, and is carried into battle.  One flag is governmental and the other is a military flag. 19 When Muhammad returned to his home city of Mecca after being exiled for eight years, he returned as a conqueror.  With him were ten thousand Muslim soldiers.  They carried with them black flags.  On the flags was one word written in Arabic: punishment. 20

I was once talking to a group of young Muslim men and asking them some questions.  I asked them if the obvious superior militaries of America and Israel compared to the militaries of any Islamic nations were a source of difficulty for many Muslims.  One of these men then became very angry at my question and snapped out, “You Americans and Zionists better get ready, because the black flags are coming!”  At the time, I had no idea what he was talking about.  Later I learned the meaning.

Full disclosure: I am a Roman Catholic, and I put this whole account up to pure rumor..

Catholics administering the Temple Mount, while far from ideal from an observant Jewish perspective, is inarguably better than Muslims administering it.

However, the Catholics administering it should come from an international panel of the Church and should not be selected from local clergy, since local clergy can be pressured by the Muslims who outnumber them so vastly.

This is from many source, radio, print, and internet, but Peres is going to see the Pope http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=53106 and according to a broadcast its about a key tenant in the peace plan, overseeing the temple mount, if it needs to be marked vantiy then so be it. But I believe this is indeed the case.

http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/index.cfm/fuseaction/viewItem/itemID/16984

(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - A large number of people living in the Palestinian Territories do not think former British prime minister Tony Blair will do a good job as a peace envoy in the Middle East, according to a poll by Near East Consulting. 76 per cent of respondents think Blair will have a negative impact on Palestinian-Israeli relations.

Blair stepped down as Labour party leader and prime minister of Britain in June. He had served as head of government since May 1997, winning majority mandates in the 1997, 2001 and 2005 elections to the House of Commons.

Blair now represents The Quartet—which includes the United States, the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU) and Russia—in the Middle East. Earlier this month, he toured the area seeking to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. Blair has said he expects his work to translate "fresh words" into "concrete action."

On Aug. 21, U.S. president George W. Bush called for an international conference for peace in the Middle East. Bush said the meeting would be open only to states that back the creation of a Palestinian state, reject violence and recognize Israel, adding, "The world can do more to build the conditions for peace." 50 per cent of respondents in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank support Bush’s initiative, while 50 per cent oppose it.

Has everyone forgotten the Israelis who were forcible removed from ostensibly "arab" territory? Why should Israel yield another square centimeter?

As for the Temple Mount, anyone should administer it other than the muslims, the UN or the French.
Anybody else. Peres should be replaced.

This is intolerable. Israel has been nickel and dimed into indefensibility.

Yes, tenent, In exchange for giving back nearly all the land Israel will once again have access to the template mount with the Catholic Church overseeing the entire template mount area, it will take UN backed troops however is my guess, they didn’t say that. Anyway, I suggest you follow this close ....

Gee, I’ll ignore the end of the world stuff and ask, why do you think Israel would abandon half of the West Bank and turn the Temple Mount over to the Pope. Has this been reported somewhere? Do you have secret info?

Why does anyone think the Muslims would accept the Pope as caretaker of a Muslim mosque?

This is the first I've heard of this specific proposal, but the Vatican has previously offered the initiative of Jerusalem becoming an international city, administered by Christians, Jews, and Muslims. The Israelis have already rejected this offer, and I doubt any muslim would agree, except as part of a stepping stone to full control.

“Oversee” or “administer” the Temple Mount, including the Wailing Wall and the Mosque, the name of which I cannot pronounce?

That skirts the issue. Somebody has to have guns there to protect those who are there to worship from those who are their to blow things up. It takes more than metal detectors, C4 sniffing dogs, and all that. Somebody has to have weaponry — the Swiss Guard? They do have colorful uniforms (yellow and red, I believe) and what looks like small discs on a thin 6 ft stick.

“Administration” in such an area as this is for soldiers, not guards. I am willing to put some money that this does not come to fruition in the next 6 months. Any takers?
