If you say that Larry Craig should resign, then you must also say that Frank, Cantwell, and Inouye must resign, too.

Yes. Then again, one could argue that Frank et al represent their constituents values while Craig no longer does.

So you want ambassadors to be elected now?

Well, start a popular movement. Maybe you can convince the voters who will then get legislators in to pass the bill.

Though I doubt you will succeed.

Well, no one knew who the hell he was a week ago

No, just the rabble didn't know.

Craig has appeared innumerable times over the years defending conservative positions. Anyone really paying attentions to politics and not just the scandal au jour knows Craig.

That’s what “no one” means. It doesn’t literally mean no one. It means everyone except fans of his area of experience (politics, in this case). How many voters really pay attention to politics. FR would have a couple of million members if they did.

No, I want republicans to stand up for good government within the whole Congress, I blame republicans for lettingh the democrats get so bad without challenging them.

And Jesus said he who is without sin, cast the first stone. Democrats don't embrace their sinners, they excuse them. Republicans don't cast out their sinners, they throw them over board lest they get tarred with the same brush. I think, between the two, at least I can admire the Dems' loyalty and courage in not abandoning or kicking their own when they are down.

Larry Craig lied about who he was. He has been elected over and over because he told his constituents he wasn't interested in having sexual encounters with men. The fact that he's gay is secondary. His whole life is a lie. The GOP and voters should go after people who are total liars like Craig. Homosexuality isn't even in the 10 Commandments and Jesus never said anything about it. That's not the case with lying, and this wasn't just some small fib, either.

His whole life is a lie.

Oh, brother.

He stood steadfast in many, many conservative causes over the years including tax cuts, defense, etc. etc. etc. yet his whole life is a lie?

[we have the power to vote our people out.]

That's an illusion.

The people of Kalifornistan recalled Grey Davis, and voted for Ahhhnuld - and Ameriquest bought them both.

I've already seen countless comments on FR saying the whole GOP is corrupt.

It's a rare individual who can be handed that degree of power and not be changed by it. Even if they're not as far gone as the Dems, the Pubbies still have too much crap floating around for my tastes.

I make no apologies about being informed about the culture of the nation I live in, the bad stuff and the good stuff. I don’t have to hang out at gay bars or look at gay porn sites to learn generally about gay Americans. There are plenty of written reports all over the internet. I’m a Dad. It’s my responsibility to know about the crap my kids might come into contact with.

Democrats like to point the finger at Republicans who they say fell from family values after running on it.

A Republican hypocrite is preferable to any Democrat.

A hypocrite, after all, at least knows the difference between right and wrong...

"Christians should remember that Larry Craig does not represent the Republican Party."

I take exception to this. Today's Republican elected leaders are from the same moral & ethical mold as the Dims and they have proved it month after month for the last 6 years.

Obviously..since time immemorial.

However, our party has gotten partial birth abortion banned, got Saddam removed, got the Taliban removed, got Libya to give up WMD, saved the US from Kyoto and a World Court, got huge tax cuts, built up the military, etc. etc. etc.

Repubs are far, far different from Democrats.

“And that’s why our political system is superior”

“Their stuck with bad influences sometimes for decades or longer.”

Wow! great insight. Bad behavior has always been there...so what? Okie dokie then.

Ted Kennedy.............how many years has he been in power?

The point to the Dell analogy.......oh never mind.

Go on to the trough like a good lil sheep.

Yep. His life has been a total lie. Whether you like to suck off men or take it in the rear is pretty fundamental about who you are. That he voted right is irrelevant. He’s an old man with not many more years left. He could have been living those years as a happy openly gay man. It’s sad that he wasted all those years in personal despair.

The House of Lords needs a total revamp - reduction of salaries and benefits and term limits of two terms in a lifetime.

[and Ameriquest bought them both

"Yeah...right."]

It's all in plain sight:

"Since Schwarzenegger took office in 2003, he alone has pulled in more than $1.5 million from Ameriquest, Roland Arnall and his wife, Dawn. Ameriquest also has given $1.5 million to groups backing the governor's political efforts and, along with the Arnalls, has contributed $1.5 million to the California Republican Party."

But wait...

Roland Arnall, owner of the company's parent, is a widely recognized and generous donor to the Democratic Party. In fact, party pal and former governor of California Gray Davis actually officiated at Arnall's wedding in 2000.

Hmmm... Quack quack, waddle waddle....

OK...I can see clearly how much you hate gays. You don't have to get explicit about what they do to each other...I get the idea.

However, Craig's political votes were cast in favor of tax cuts, defense, etc. Don't see how he lied about that since he campaigned on those things.
