Yep—Just include the word “children” in a sentence and whatever it is your saying cannot be opposed. Murtha can’t be called a traitor because at some point in his life he was a Marine. Hillary cannot be called the enabler of a rapist because she is a women—and a feminist to boot. And the leftist beat goes on.

while I dont agree with Arnies stance...Bush is not very consistent. It is Bushs policy that all elderly - even the very wealthy- should have prescription drugs given to them courtesy of the taxpayers. It seems poor children are not as important as wealthy elderly. Oh yeah...the kids cant vote.
Agreed. Blackbird.

It’s clear that Arnie has no idea what stupid ideas are incorporated in this bill.
Bush MUST veto this or our immigration and health care problems will be even worse.

The prescription drug program was a massive givaway to business on the backs of taxpayers.
Companies with long standing obligations to thier retirees simply sent them forms to apply for the new government givaways. Interesting theory. Is it your own, or have others written about this? (I did not follow the issue closely).

Hey Arnold, have you ever heard of fiscal conservatism? Yep... that's a phrase RINOs like Arnie and Giuliani use to get elected and that campaign operatives use to sell Trojan Horses to unsuspecting Republicans. Nothing more.

We mustn't deny illegal children health care. If you do, you're a heartless brute.

Before reading this thoroughly, I'm still going to post:
Well, ARNOLD we have a problem with his stance on Immigration, more.
Love him on the WOT, however.

Why would you not want to insure them? Hey Arnie you stupid Austrian fop! Find a copy of the US Constitution and if you can locate the word 'insurance' in there I'll donate $1,000.00 to the charity of your choice.

I haven't seen it written about and I've always been dismayed as to why not. I have posted this thought here on FR a few times and you are the first to so much as comment on it.
There was no great clamoring for such a change, not among the population, not even among the Rats. But if you follow the money. Business benefited fantastically. If you recall we were lied to about the costs and they skyrocketed before the bill was even signed.
This was a truly massive, historic transfer of obligation directly to the American taxpayer dressed up as a benefit
