hahahaha, that’s good.

But I think this poll just shows that many southern democrats and regular white dims may be having second thoughts about hillary and obama, and might just want to improve their chances with a bill clinton-type of candidate.

It kinda reminds me of those polls where 2-3% of people when asked if they’re are a racist say “yes”, then when asked if they know a nieghbor or a friend who’s racist the number jumps up 30 or 40 percentage points. Maybe these are democrats who consciously think running Edwards would be better.

Then again maybe it doesn’t mean anything...

Well, Obama is half white.

Although, in the period from high school in Hawaii, to Columbia University and then to the streets of Chicago as a community organizer, Obama is the classic angry young black man, describing his world thusly:

"We were always playing on the white man's court -- by the white man's rules.  If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn't.  The only thing you could choose was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage."

During college, Obama disapproved of what he called other "half-breeds" who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks.  And yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around. 

Obama once  described his grandparents, the people who raised him, as "white folk."

Edwards is effeminate but he is the closest to the type of nominee they prefer...when they aren’t digging Mass politicians up.

Obama gets a lot of support from young people and the Holywood crowd stoked by his image but outside of that when it comes down to getting serious about a nominee I wouldn’t be surprised if its Edwards that gives Hill a run. If someone does.
