Also, don't Republicans deserve somebody who understands how very bad it will be for Hillary to be the president...You've not demonstrated Fred doesn't understand that.
...and is willing to show up a little "early" to work to see that does not happen?
Does not follow. None of the Republicans are NOT running against Hillary yet, they're running against each other.

IMO, Thompson entering the race effectively destroys every candidate’s chances except for Rudy and Romney. This is the race. All this pre-season stuff was just pipe dreams(Paul) and egos(McCain). I won’t even remember nor care who was running prior to this in a few months time.

That isn’t right, AFAIK.
September is still within the third quarter, so donations will have to be disclosed in October.

None of the Republicans are NOT running against Hillary yet...Wierrrroooo! Wierrrrrroooooo!
Sir, do you have any idea why I stopped you this evening? Sir, you employed a double negative in that last sentence, trampling your own point. The fine is $156.75 if you choose to plead guilty...

Reagans he wont hold Mondales youth and inexperience against him...
How was that an “early debate?”
As you so clearly demonstrated in an earlier thread, you do have a reading comprehension problem. Now try reading this sentence again from #57 :
“I guess they could also remember how well someone did. A candidate can blow or almost win it in a field of eight, or when its down to two in the general election, such as several famous flubs made by Ford, or Reagans he wont hold Mondales youth and inexperience against him, Dukakais wimpy response to what hed due if his wife were raped.”
For further assistance, here’s the key phrase:
“A candidate can blow or almost win it in a field of eight, or when its down to two in the general election,”
Down to two in the general election is not an early debate, but one taking place after all the primaries and nominating conventions, and before the November vote for president. Admittedly, that much background knowledge is required to understand the sentence.
And traditionally, there are only about three such debates from about September to the November vote during a presidential election year.

It was Dolley Madison. :)

OK, so what everyone remembers about these early debates is how bad one or more candidates did. I remember Bill Richardson making a total ass of himself.

I remember the HIllary-Rick Lazio debate where the democrat-controlled press took Rick down....Fred is much cooler and I doubt he will make those kinds of mistakes.

I have absolutely no problem with Fred waiting it out...plu, I believe that there were some hollyweird obligations on his part for doing so.
As an added bonus, he avoided the idiocy of ROOTY the RINO vs. that suspicious MORMON guy vs. the crazed right-wing ANTI-IMMIGRATION CLOSE-THE-BORDER guy.
I hope he has the sack to call out these dems for their "indescretions", especially hillary's most recent finance donation fiasco, and hopefully go directly for the throat, just like they do.

By Jove your wright (right - kidding). I really should not write in the middle of the night because it is always ugly. I have already fixed three mistakes on this tagline alone.
Thanks!

You know what I think is very interesting.
Here is THE BIG NEWS about the Messiah getting into the race and after three hours of being on the Breaking News Sidebar it has only garnered 73 responses. And a good chunk of those are not positive or complete boredom.

It’s because none of US are surprised that Fred is announcing, we are expecting it and glad to see it.

Who says he is afraid? Maybe he has his plan and will unveil it when he is officially announced.
