"misogyny, violence and horror"

Yes, DePalma gets off on rape, torture and steamy thrillers so this material had him salivating, I'm sure. Probably the most 'enjoyable' (for him) film he's ever made.

Of course he will only do propaganda on behalf of the jihadists; we won't see any films from him depicting the overwhelming array of hideous acts by the jihadists as a matter of conscious policy and official terror.

Movie "Redacted" should be "Redacted"

This amounts to another psychotic stream of unconsciousness from a far-left nut-job. It's tantamount to "inconvienient truth" put out by AlGore. I'm sure Mr. DePalma spent countless hours ensuring accuracy and that the "material he found on the Internet" wasn't 'staged'. (drenched in sarcasm!)

Mr. DePalma states that he was "forced to fictionalize things that were actually real." Yea, riiiiight. Liberals never miss an opportunity to endanger American troops, hoping that one will loose his/her life. That's how DePalma hopes to affect the war! When he learned the truth didn't agree with what he wanted to portray, he decided it was time to concoct this trash masquerading as film-journalism.

DePalma is quoted as saying "...this message must be put forward and hopefully the public will respond," My response, "Mr. DePalma" (if that's even your real name) will be to not watch your attempt to kill American Soldier's with your Anti-Freedom, Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Life, Anti-American PROPAGANDA! I realize that you and your ilk remain dumbfounded at America's choice for President for the last 7 years but it's way past time for you to get over it.

United Nations troops have raped, killed, and abused more civilians than our troops. I'm sure De Palma's next film will be on the atrocities committed by the UN and he will be asking for all UN troops to be brought home.

A fictionalized account of a single bad incident involving US troops is worth a Hollywood epic, but routine daily acts of murder by al-Qaeda thugs in Iraq elicit nothing, except for the occasional snide comment that it’s our fault they’re doing it. Treasonous bastards, all.

The movie is an attempt to bring the reality of what is happening in Iraq to the American people

For De Palma’s statement to be true, that would have to mean the horrific events he describes in his film are pervasive and typical of American operations in the area. That is the meaning of his quote ‘the reality of what is happening.’ If De Palma’s film is not only not entirely accurate, but equally, not pervasive and typical, then De Palma may be telling us (more or less) about an event that happened in Iraq, but he is not telling us ‘the reality of what is happening’ in Iraq.

In other words, De Palma is not a storyteller; he is a propagandist (in plain English, a damned liar). He ought to be awarded a Goebbels. His film is the very personification of one of the basic techniques (two actually) of The Art of Propaganda:

Select the few facts that support your case; discard the others, or simply indulge in a brazen reversal of their contents. Distort the facts that don’t quite fit without some creative reshaping. From that base add inference and conjecture. And, follow the techniques of the BIG LIE to drive the point home.

De Palma’s film is a exquisite example of how to lie by telling ‘the truth’ (more or less), and it is a repetition of how we were feed the lies that brought us down in Vietnam.

Maybe De Palma and Craig can hook up and do to each other in an Airport bathroom what De Palma is trying to do to the American Troops in Iraq.

COMMENT:

In 1998 opened a surgery clinic in a large South American city.

It seemed like every weekend my wife and I were invited to a fiesta at someone’s house.

I met a Chief Civil Judge and his wife from another large city at one of these gatherings.

After introductions, we began to discuss life in the United States as compared to his country.

His wife’s first question to me was “how do Americans treat dark skinned people”.

I asked her why and she said, “I watched the movie Mississippi Burning and it left a bitter taste for the American way of life”.

This woman’s daughter met and married an American working for an oil company.

He was transferred back to Houston in 2001.

I went to the going away party and it was as you stated.

Nothing but tears as the family was terrified for the daughter’s safety.

We Americans, when we went to discount movie night on Tuesday at the local theater, understood that there is very little truth to most movies but the locals did not see it that way.

It was irritating for me having to defend my country because of the crap that spews out of Hollywood.

Most of the news streamed to many countries by CNN International and others is anti-American 24/7.

The coverage of 9/11 by CNN International was atrocious.

So many of us in the American Chamber of Commerce went to the cable provider and had them drop CNNI and change to Fox News.

Where is the film about the atrocity in Cheshire Ct?
Two felons on parole follow home the wife of a doctor ,case the housethen do a home invasion . They order the wife to go with them to the bank and withdraw all of thier money.
The teller at the bank is tipped somehow and calls the police. Before the police can do anything the felons go back to the house beat the Husband to a pulp in the basement and leave him for dead. They then tie the wife and two daughters to their beds ,rape them and while still alive splash them with gasoline and set them and the house on fire .
Anything in Iraq is comparable,so what is the point?
As usual Left wing commies trying to go after The president again

Cuban also produced “The War Within”, a sympathetic portrayal of suicide bombers. And he’s involved in the big screen production of “Loose Change”.

He throws some of his billions at the families of fallen American soldiers for good press, but this guy is squarely on the side of the jihadists. He’s an anti-American leftist piece of garbage.

I wasn’t aware of his involvement with “The War Within” & “Loose Change”...
just like the other Muzzie apologist, Alan Colmes, Cuban is a sorry excuse for a Jew...some folks have more dollars than sense.
