KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- New charges have been filed against a man connected to the carjacking, rapes and murders of a young Knoxville couple earlier this year.
Eric Boyd is now charged with being an accessory to a carjacking that resulted in death.
Boyd was previously charged with being an accessory after the fact.
The new indictment accuses Boyd of knowing about the deaths of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom before aiding one of the suspected killers and not reporting the murders.
The couple was murdered in early January.
A woman and three men, Vanessa Coleman, Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins and George Thomas, are charged with killing the couple.
If Eric Boyd is convicted of the new charges, he could face up to 14 years in prison.

Trials begin in mid May and, according to the above link, prosecutors still haven't decided whether or not to try this as a capital case?!
I guess that the new charges are an improvement, but fourteen years doesn’t sound like enough.
I want to see this story all over Greta Von Sustern’s show for about six months. Maybe she could cover the trials. That would at least make up for the lack of coverage, up to now.

maybe its a sad commentary on the state of black criminals that they are so expected to be criminals that their crime isn't news anymore...
They still haven't decided after all this time. For such heinous crimes I don't see how they could seek anything other than the death penalty.
I'll be following it in May. I only hope other news agencies pick it up rather than just mostly racist sites or we may never know how it's proceeding.

In the news the other day on FR was an execution sentence for a man that was the getaway driver for those who did the actual killing. This man human creature should receive the same sentence.
They all refuse to touch it. The colors of the players in this travesty are reversed. (whoops, was that a racist statement)

No pictures of the perps in the RI case? Gee makes me wonder. Anyway, I had not heard of that one. Surprisingly in that case it looks like the 2 victims were just shot and did not go through some of the agony of the kids in the Knoxville or Wichita nightmares.
This Knoxville case has got to be one of the most monstrous crimes ever committed in modern history. That makes it all the more infuriating the national media are not touching it. Somehow they managed to talk plenty about the details of the July home invasion rape/killings in Cheshire CT. I guess that was safe to do because the killers were white.
Sounds like this Knoxville scumbag is being charged under the same type of law like that guy who was spared from the death penalty in TX this week. In any case there will never be true justice for any of these animals.

America has to get tough, we have been nutered by the left for so many years that even now we are sometimes lethargic when we here of these horrific crimes, like this one, the Newark executions and the Connecticut home invasion. If your state has the death penalty and doesn’t use it, it’s just thier to appease you, get to work and make it happen. If you do not have the death penalty you have more work to do but it will be worth it in the end! Lets roll back the liberal policies that are killing Americans every day!
It’s another crime that the national media are not covering this. If for no other reason than they need to inform people about the evils out there, so they can better protect themselves and be aware. Of course this might lead to “racial profiling,” so perhaps that is why they remain silent. How outrageous.
The national “news” media did give a lot of coverage to the CT home invasion at the time. There can only be one reason they ignore the Knoxville atrocity.
