Yahoo ^ | August 30 | ANI

Environmentally friendly cars might be popular with Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Leonardo Di Caprio, but they certainly have failed to impress Yoko Ono.

The widow of late Beatle John Lennon feels that environmentally friendly cars are not as comfortable as her Bentley.

It’s a shame that she didn’t consider the comfort of others when she developed an interest in making ‘music’.

To my limited knowledge of her history, is the first sane, and spot-on, opinion she has expressed in her life.

She’s a perfect example of someone that would have amounted to nothing, if she hadn’t married well.

"WHO is Yoko Ono?"

Yoko Ono is walking, living, breathing proof of the historically unprecedented magnanimity the United States has shown to citizens of the nations we vanquish after they declare war on us.

What’s the old saying, dying is good for a career? On his own I think his music sucked. But, due to his untimely death it’s taken on almost a mythical quality.

In her case, I'm afraid, amounting to nothing would be over achievement ;-)

My favorite work of hers is on the back side of the Blue Plastic Ono Band Ablum, Lenon produced back in the 70s.

I’ve never spent a more painful 20-30 minutes.

Oui...

And frankly I don’t care if the whole left starts walking everywhere. I’m not going to.

Good thing to see a liberal favoring comfort over prestige. You don't see that every day.

I remember how much trouble it was to listen to the Double Fantasy LP - I had to get up and move the needle after every John Lennon song to avoid her screeching on every other song.

Yes, he’s been canonized, but he was a real nut job. Choosing Yoko was a sure sign of a loose screw. I do enjoy much of what he co-authored with McCartney, but this is another case of “shut up and sing”.

“What the heck did John Lennon see in her?”

John Lennon was a loser, he just achieved status as king of the Beatles because he was stereotypical of the American radical left. The real talent of the Beatles resided with Paul McCartney, but he was too conventional for the leftist American press and they always treated him as an also-ran.

He was about as capitalistic as one can get!! It’s fairly well documented that his “peace & love” crap was not for real. He even beat his wives, was a drunk, druggie, etc. But he did have talent. And, Imagine is a nice tune IF you can ignore the lyrics (which he didn’t believe anyway!).

Thoughts on “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”? :-)

Lennon was not a bad musician, As you suggest, the distinctive Beatle sound was McCartney’s doing, but listening to Lennon’s later stuff, one can hear some of his contributions in the earlier music. I was joking about ONO. Oh, yes, I heard her "stuff,: too. Lennon was blind, deaf and dumb to have succumbed to her “charms.”

Heh. I liked John Lennon a lot more after seeing a special on him. He was going to do a bunch of concerts for leftwingers opposing Nixon rallies in ‘72. Abbie Hoffman was arranging it, John Lennon’s involvement would have made them huge, and they were going to shadow the Nixon campaign and basically torment Nixon as he tried to campaign. Surprise, surprise, the INS pulled John Lennon’s green card because of a drug conviction. He was in court for years after trying to stay in the country. He had the sense not to do the concerts . . .

Yoko is just a wackjob. But on this one, does anyone disagree with her? Wouldn’t you rather have a Bentley than an electric car?
