I caught a baby hammerhead, maybe 2’ once. Popped him on the head with the blunt end of the gaff to calm him down and get the hook out. When I tossed him back in the water he swam around in circles with his head out of the water and kept running into the boat a few times, then finally dove and swam off.

I don't know exactly what my question for God would be but I know it's going to be something like,"Hey, you know that one time when I __________ and then ____________ which led to _____________ and subsequently I had to _____________? Do you remember that? WHAT THE ^$#%$ WAS THE DEAL WITH THAT? WHY? Seriously!"

“Im probably just displaying my own vast ignorance here, but organic mercury sounds like an oxymoron, to me.”
All joking aside, “organic mercury” is a chemistry term. It basically means mercury that is compounded with carbon in some way, so that it readily is taken up by living organisms vs metallic mercury. For a much better explanation, see the below wikipedia article on methyl mercury (the simplest form of organic mercury).

I won't born yestiday.
I held the bag on a snipe hunt before.
If you think I'm gonna go clicking all over the Internet looking for "organic mercury," you have badly miscalculated. I was born at night...but not ~last~ night!

I’m not pulling any legs here. The term “organic mercury” is for real and not a joke. Like I said, it is a chemistry term. I’m not an environmental wacko and have no use for tree huggers. Whether the source is natural or manmade is irrelevant to me. It is just a matter of someone risking mercury poisoning by eating shark meat which generally contains high levels of methyl mercury and other organic forms of mercury. It just isn’t a smart thing to do, at least not with any frequency.

My question I’ve always said I’d ask is, “Why do people come in different colors? It causes so much trouble.” I formed that exact question when I was in the first grade and it is still with me.

Great hammerheads, with their odd-looking heads, are among the largest of the species, growing to 20 feet long and
weighing up to 1,000 pounds. Their average life span is 20 to 30 years, but scientists have found some to live beyond age 50. Clyde "Bucky" Dennis of Port Charlotte snagged the sport fishing world record in Boca Grande last year, capturing a 14-foot pregnant hammerhead weighing 1,280 pounds.
Scientists later determined the fish was 49 years old.
This reporter needs a remedial English course, and a wee lesson in avoiding conjecture, rumor and hearsay. The sad part is, gross errors in basic grammar, spelling and context are becoming FAR too common. EG: Decimate. Translated correctly from the Latin as; reduced by 10%. Current colloquial usage is: destroyed.
