Thanks for posting this. A welcome contrast and improvement from the style over substance pack. The man is just sound.

I'm afraid his trade position is going to turn some people off. I believe in the desirability of the ideal of free trade myself. But China's policies have nothing to do with free trade. Everything has a cost, and the security cost of not dealing with China's trade polices dwarfs any potential short run gains to consumers.

The cost of fair trade versus free trade is an investment in the long term security and economic security of our nation. Everything has a cost, including freedom and sovereignty and not all the costs are in the blood of our soldiers, sailors, marines and air force. If we ask the young people of our military to give their lives to protect us, can we not forgo a little economically for future security and freedom?

Duncan Hunter got twice as many votes as the 2nd candidate (Fred Thompson). When people hear his message, they love Hunter.

Awesome interview. I never see Hunter misstep. He’s incredibly good.

Drat! We just went from cable modem to dial-up!! (other things are more important right now!), so I can’t even begin to download! Does anybody have a transcript?

Also, I’m disappointed because somehow I got the impression that Hewitt was a Hunter supporter and I find out he supports Romney?!

Thank you, Walter. That was one interview no one should miss. As I’ve always said, Rep. Hunter has a cool head and a steady hand. No pussy-footing around the barn he, just clear and sound answers. God’s speed, Duncan Hunter!

When people hear his message, they love Hunter.

My hope is that the same long process that produces gaffes and lackluster performances from so many candidates will boost Hunter in his getting across his message. The man speaks a simple, solid message of conviction and that plays better over time than mere image.

I thought I heard someone taped it and was going to get the media file out to us? Right?

Noteworthy, imo: the Texas primary will be on March 4.

>>>...all the candidates debates, speeches and press releases...’flounder around’

Politics is all about honesty. If you can fake that, you’ve got it made.

Well we can’t have Americans pay an extra couple of pennies for lead paint in their children’s toys.

He tries to deny it but he’s totally a Mitt guy.

He seems pretty up front about it actually. He wrote a book pimping Mitt, so it would be pretty hard for him to deny it. I do think he's turning into kind of a hack, though. I still listen because he's got some awesome guests.
