Peres: Why did Israel leave Gaza? (Moron sees light?)
YnetNews ^ | 3 September, 2007 | Ronny Sofer

Israeli President Shimon Peres met with Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer on Monday and discussed with him the effects of the continued Qassam attacks on Sderot saying, "The situation is intolerable and there is one address – Hamas. I ask myself today, why did Israel leave Gaza?"

Peres criticized Hamas' motives for the attacks, saying, "Why do they fire and what are their goals? There is only one answer. Hamas is a religious-fanatic organization that does not want a state for its people. It wants to destroy Israel."

Expecting a Liberal (Peres) to be rational and logical is unwise - you will only be disappointed.

Expecting a Terrorist (Hamas) to be rational and logical is suicidal - you sign your own death warrant.

Everybody's got to have a hobby, right?

In the wild and crazy Islamma-whamma-ding-dong world, there's none better, it seems.

Well I could have said this twenty years ago. This reminds me of the article about Pete Seger that was published recently in the NYT.

Israelis: Why in the name of God did you people ever give this fool any power?

After so much death and destruction, he finally has some modicum of insight. But, how much more death and destruction will it take to undo his, and his ilk's, actions and policies that have led to Israel's current tenuous situation?

The fool really should be tried for high treason.

An Open Letter from the OU to Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres

http://www.ou.org/oupr/2005/vpm65.htm

The following letter was sent today by the Orthodox Union to Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres of Israel, criticizing his remarks that a demonstration against the Gaza withdrawal was “a rally of schlimazels” and calling for an apology. The letter was signed by OU President Stephen J. Savitsky and OU Executive Vice President Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb....

Much of Peres' words are rhetorical...said for the benefit of those leftist Israelis (and even many Palestinians) who have been skewered by Hamas' recent actions.

These are people who were rabidly against Israels' policies but are finally seeing more light than they used to and Peres is helping them along.

Is there a difference between treason and high treason?

When the treason is self evident to anyone with an IQ of greater than 5, it has to be “high” treason.

Why did Israel leave Gaza?

To end a situation in which a handful of Israelis lived in a sea of Islamofascist fanatics, and to create a situation where Gaza is a pure target-rich environment?

Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. Especially for the families of the expulsion and for the residents of Sedorot who are absorbing missile attacks daily now.

Everyone sees it for what it is now. A colossal error in judgment.

amazing...it is amazing that he ever thought otherwise.

I mean Hamas and the PLO have been screaming from the rooftops that their goal is to destroy Israel (and the West in general) And now suddenly this guy gets a clue. amazing

All you have to do is read their charter to get an idea of what they are about. They have always openly, one could say petulantly, declared their goal of Israel’s destruction and have never made a secret of it. The only people to ever deny this were Israeli and EU Liberals, not the Arabs.

It is like he just discovered that rain is wet...

Liberalism is truly, and undeniably, a certifiable mental disorder. But maybe there is hope. Maybe there is a limit to the amount of denial and obvious ‘in your face’ contradictions that liberals can disregard?

Aside, this reminds me of a convicted multiple murderer sentenced to death. Anti death penalty nuts showed up for the execution. On the way to the chamber he flipped them and told them to ‘F*** Off’. He would have killed them if he could have. The ability of Libs to live in a fog of denial is amazing.

I just read Dennis Kucinich’s Israel/Palestinian plan that all the kos libs love. His firt step was “get Hamas to Recognize Israel and negotiate with them.” No joke.

And here is another one who is very very slooooooooow:

Livni: Peace Talks Won’t Stop Rocket Attacks

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni spoke at a Kadima ceremony on Monday night in support of peace talks with the Palestinian Authority. She warned her fellow party members that they should not expect negotiations with the PA to lead to a decrease in rocket attacks on the western Negev.

“I am a big believe in dialogue between us and the Palestinians,” Livni said. “I’m a big believer in dialogue with a group that it is possible to conduct a dialogue with. That group does not control all of the PA territories.” For that reason, she said, the current negotiations between Israel and the PA will not end attacks.

OK Ms Livni that was A, now say B.....

Too bad he isn’t going to figure out what a Pali state “living in peace and security” will do even though the Quartet promises it will work. He’ll find out too late though, at his age, he might not live long enough to see the final outcome.

How long has this man been a member of the Israeli government? And he’s just catching on to this?

Don't fall for it. This is nothing more than a cynical tack and ploy by Peres to attempt to distance himself from the coming debacle and implosion of the Israeli government which he helped bring about. He's in political survival mode, and in the coming months will say anything which he feels will give him cover and help maintain his political viability.

Peres is the Israeli counterpart to Ted Kennedy, and his entire public career has been devoted to duplicitous machinations, sabotage and betrayal of the foundational principles of the state of Israel, and encouragement of and complicity with those who seek to destroy it.
