I’m getting tired of the inept, corrupt Mexican government foisting its problems off on the U.S. What exactly is the reason Mexico isn’t as prosperous as several Latin American nations?

I sure hope that's out of context.

He said it in his state of the nation address at the National Palace in Mexico City, Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007.

Mexican President Protests Crackdown on U.S. Border

In his speech, Calderon, who has acknowledged that he has relatives who went to the United States, suggested that U.S. deportation of undocumented immigrants bordered on a violation of human rights, and he vowed to help illegal migrants.

"I have said that Mexico does not stop at its border, that wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico," he said. "And, for this reason, the government action on behalf of our countrymen is guided by principles for the defense and protection of their rights, by prevention to detect measures that could affect our people."

Last week, Calderon, a conservative, met with Elvira Arellano, 32, who became famous among advocates for Mexican immigrants for defying deportation orders and claiming sanctuary in a Chicago church for a year. In a meeting in his residence, he promised to help Arellano obtain a visa for the United States.

“Mexico does not end at its borders.”

Hey Senor Felipe, want to lay some money on that?

You and your peons have just about wore out their welcome. Your uninvited invasion is seen as an act of war by a foreign country by a majority of Americans.

So go ahead with your reconquista plans and we will do what has to be done. We always do in the long run.

There is nothing I can say in public about this guy and his corrupt government that won’t get me put up on charges.

“Mexico does not end at its borders.”

It sure the heck does.

If he's so big for the rights of Mexicans in the US, why doesn't he fight for them in his own country?

Stalin once said, “wherever a Russian soldier plants his boot, that is sacred Russian soil forever.”

That also sounds so Mexican, so Islamic.

President Felipe Calderon blasted U.S. immigration policies on Sunday and promised to fight harder to protect the rights of Mexicans in the U.S., saying “Mexico does not end at its borders.”

Isn't that one of the responsibilities of a government? To protect the interests of its citizens even outside of its borders?

After all, the stated reason for the invasion of Grenada was to protect the rights of Americans in Grenada. I supported the Gipper's position then. Consequently, I accept President Felipe Calderon's position today.

As I recall, Mexico did not accept Germany’s offer. I guess Mexico is a better friend to the US than WWI Germany thought or many present day Americans think.

The world figures it best pick on the meanest SOB on the block. That's US to the rest of the world. Their plan was a plan that did not look like a plan, it would appear as a wave, an ebb, and flow, coupled with bluster and fine bed fellows. The basic ability, and objective of the enemy, would be to infiltrate that group being used only as cover?

No....where is my tinfoil hat?

Okay, if that is true.....there is bound to be something, either on paper, or within someone's mind having their next phase of attempting an achievement of the enemy's objective, even if an order were not passed down?.

Could a phase beginning after a phase be recognized? By analyzing the second paragraph, the attempt would remain elusive and .....Looking for more plastic, duct tape and tinfoil.

overheard though wiretap monitoring... I wish I knew how to drive a car. I wish I knew how to drive a car. Them people on the sidewalks wouldn't be able to run so far.....I wish I knew how to drive a car.....

If anyone can break this code down, please call your Local Police Department, the State Highway Patrol, or the FBI....

NO...don't do that! I am joking.......

True in one extent only. The Americans in Grenada were there LEGALLY. The U.S. has no problem with Mexicans who are in the U.S. legally, but we have one helluva problem with those who are here ILLEGALLY.

Methinks that el Presidente Calderon does not have even enough common sense nor class to be even a tout for a second-rate, two-bit donkey show in a shadowy alleyway off Avenida Revolucion.

Yea, sure...that's what Santa Anna tried to tell Sam Houston after the caught that particular Mexican in a peasant uniform after the Battle of San Jacinto.

Didn't fly then, doesn't fly now.

Glad to see a person that knows of the the Zimmermann Telegram.

If anybody remembers the Zimmermann Telegram, it offered Mexico the American Southwest!

Mexico’s reply was “We don’t have enough Mexicans in the Southwest to hold it, YET”!
