The Chron headline today was “Bush visits troops, hints at cutbacks.” How long did they have to think about it to come up with a headline that makes it sound like he’s cutting support for the troops, rather than drawing down the force?

Nice move by President Bush. Sneaking in before the Rats can make their move and say Petraeus’ report is a WH con job or something.

Since Bush has seen and announced the progress before the Dems did anything, they’re gonna have a hell of a time getting out of this one.

With Democratic leaders returning to Washington today to begin a new assault on his Iraq strategy....

Useless b@stards. They have NOTHING for America, nor are they interested in the future of America. Not at all.

Indeed. I always like to make fun of this Congress by mentioning that the Dems gained control of it on November 7, 2006--the 89th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution.
