Ron Paul, who would have thunk it.

As a devout Christian who has been married for 50 years, Dr. Paul doesn't share any of the LCR views.

More guilt-by-association BS that's become the norm here.

I’m not implying that he’s light in the loafers, so don’t infer that. I’m saying the leftist hacks that are the Log Cabin Republicans endorsed him. That in itself is bad enough.

What do you think “Log” and “Cabin” are euphamisms for.

Just wait they are already implying George washington had a “thing” with his vallet.

Yes, I get it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go after Washington. Heck they’ve gone after a number of people.

I thought outing wasn’t supposed to be nice, but they seem to enjoy doing it all the time.

I never insinuated or thought that from the get go.
However, your reply did imply that he supports their agenda somewhat.

It doesn't mean anything. It's no different than Club for Growth, a pro-open borders, corporate shills, endorsing some other Republican. It just means that Paul doesn't wear his religion on his sleeve and believes states should be responsible for homosexual marriages & other social issues and not the feds.

“Joe Schwarz (MI-7th): WON “

Joe Schwartz...Booted in the A$$ in 2006. Sending his pro queer, pro abortion, anti gun, single term, carcase back where he came from.

Replaced with Tim Walberg. A pro family, pro gun, pro life, Conservative that reflects the values of the district.

Good point, EEE. But why are they (leftie groups) supporting him. What's in it for them? To deter people from another candidate? Why? I don't understand it, do you?

I will emphasize again, they (LCR) defines support and endorse differently.

You have to be reviewed for endorsement, then sign a contract. I’ve added those links to this thread already.

That list is the same as the list of the Main Street “republicans”. Further proof, as if we didn’t know, that both groups are plants in the party.

Ron Paul voted against the Marriage Protection Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as did John McCain. Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson (to my great disappointment) also oppose such an amendment. In the Senate, only six GOP senators voted against it.

McCain for years appeared on the Log Cabin website on a list of “Republican heroes.”

And let’s not forget that the Log Cabin homosexual activists TWICE endorsed Mitt Romney — in 1994 and again in 2002 — based on his support for “gays in the military,” Kennedy’s federal “gay rights” legislation, his opposition (in 2002) to a state Marriage Protection Amendment, his opposition to the Boy Scouts’ ban on homosexual Scoutmasters, etc., etc., etc.

Also note that in 2004, Log Cabin “Republicans” spent $1 million on TV ads in key swing states attacking President Bush for supporting a federal Marriage Protection Amendment.

Google Giuliani and “Log Cabin”

Google Romney and “Log Cabin”

etc...

None of that is surprising. Let’s guess the six GOP senators: Chafee, Mccain, Specter, Snowe, Collins and Smith.

I think it was Sununu instead of Smith. I’ll check.

“Two Republicans changed their votes from yes in 2004 to no this time: Sens. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania. ...The four others were Sens. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island, Susan Collins of Maine, John McCain of Arizona, Olympia Snowe of Maine and John Sununu of New Hampshire.”

Sadly, now joined by Fred Thompson.

In the House, Paul (and Dreier) were among only 27 Repubs voting against it.
