So in other words, Craig was not pushing for legislation that he hypocritically violated. This would be like calling a smoking lawmaker a hypocrite for pushing for public smoking bans. Also drinkers who push for restrictions on drinking.

By JOVE! I think you might be on to something here. Take it a bit further: I wonder how many Democrats who push so hard for gun control actually....own guns? Look at the chief hypocrite when it comes to firearms: A couple of years ago, Sara Brady in an illegal straw purchase to buy a gun for her own son! Was she punished under her own law? I think not.
