Is it even possible that Ron Paul could carry Lake Jackson, TX, in a presidential general election?

It seems that the many of the folks who claim to believe that he has “zero” chance really believe otherwise, thus all their posting.

My strategy is to start pointing all the Ron Paul Supporters at the Political Futures Markets, where people lay down real money on who they think will win.

On Intrade, Ron Paul has a current score of 4 out of a 100.

Let them try to pump that rating up, and I’ll show them some respect!!! ;^)

Watching that crazy Texas the other night reminded me of another crazy Texan so many years ago.

H. Ross Perot.

Both are certifiably nuts.

My impression is that although he is loopy on some issues (defense, WOT), he has strong points on others. The loopy issues are enough to eliminate the possibility of his getting the nomination. Despite that, some of his positions are worth listening to. He seems to be a small government, lower taxes guy. I like that.

No, I don’t support him. He wouldn’t get my vote in the primaries.

I guess some Freepers agree with his stance that Iran can have nuclear weapons because it wants to. We shouldn’t get involved.

The Doctor is channeling Lar “America First” Daley, a perennial candidate for any office in the Chicagoland area during the 1960s and a bit beyond.

Lar used to dress up as Uncle Sam and say the most outrageous things, although I don’t remember him blaming us for World War II.

One loon channeling to another.

MR. WALLACE: So, Congressman Paul, and I’d like you to take 30 seconds to answer this, you’re basically saying that we should take our marching orders from al Qaeda? If they want us off the Arabian Peninsula, we should leave? (Laughter.)

REP. PAUL: No! (Cheers, applause.) I’m saying — (laughter) — I’m saying we should take our marching orders from our Constitution. We should not go to war — (cheers, applause) — we should not go to war without a declaration. We should not go to war when it’s an aggressive war. This is an aggressive invasion. We’ve committed the invasion of this war, and it’s illegal under international law. That’s where I take my marching orders, not from any enemy. (Cheers, boos.)

“Ron Paul is to Republicans what Ralph Nader is to Demonrats.”

Totally wrong. Nader “sold” more of the same liberal shiite only worse. He was an anti American skunk. Some of the foaming at the mouth enemy voters liked him and voted for him because he was more liberal than albore and frenchie. Ru Paul on the other hand, is selling an anti American line to pro American voters. He won’t peel off a single vote from our side. He might get a stay rank and file rat, but none of our voters.

You are wrong,Bush # 1 gave us Bill Clinton,Perot could not have touched him if he had not waggled his finger like Bill Clinton. Also the Republicans had better pull a leader out of the hat or Paul will get my vote. I disagree like heck with him on the war but I disagree with the other Republicans on many things. I do not see a leader in either party and 95 % of Congress are crooks.
