The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego has reached a $198.125 million settlement with 144 people who were sexually abused by Catholic priests and church workers. Story coming momentarily.
The announcement capped marathon discussions (See story from this morning's U-T) between lawyers for the diocese and the victims, who are to receive $1.37 million each.
Church officials had filed for bankruptcy reorganization, but recent court rulings pressured them to settle the case.
Gotta fill those collection plates, people.
Probably result in another lawsuit from them, or a gay rights group.

My goodness, the Roman Catholic Church in the US is under more then a little duress, I am sure they will pull through it though.

Totally think that there is absolutely no such thing as gay marriage. It is like a prison situation for some of these priests and they get whatever they can I would imagine....don’t really know.
I disagree, the Catholic Church has their own charter, their own rules, and married priests is not one of them, to bow to that, is to allow homosexuals to dictate the course of the Catholic church.
Personally I think married priests make sense, the RRC however, survives by it’s rules, so be it.

Cause homosexual predators want little boys to play with and sodomize, which has little to do with "getting married" and "love". Its about poor impulse control, narcissism, sociopath tendencies, addictive/compulsive behavior and poor gender identification. Just your standard homosexual deviancy.
In other words, becoming a "priest" is an excellent cover for males that don't want to "get married" but can latch onto a "career" that is respectable and safe.
