MSNBC, in what its advertisement is billing as a living history event, will be rebroadcasting NBCs coverage of 9/11 starting at 9 am ET on 9/11.
Good for them. Everyone needs to be reminded.
Her friends went up to the top for the scenery since they were all from California. She decided to stay in and sleep. She never saw her friends again.
It's a good thing anyway, but these are the same people who have self - censored for the past 6 years and I have no real hope that they won't continue now.
What I’d like is for talk radio to do a “War of the Worlds” style replay of the shock jock 9/11 coverage; Howard Stern, Opie & Anthony, Don & Mike.
Maybe History Channel could do a special “Shocked Jocks: Talk Radio 9-11.”
I still remember O&A’s yeoman service during those terrible days best of all. They threw out their regular schedule of filth and outrage to just cover events minute-by-minute. They got out a lot of useful information and did a great job of tamping down the awful hysteria that threatened to grip the city. I really wish they could have been given a little formal recognition for what they did.
It should be mandatory viewing in every schoolroom across the country. 5th grade to Grad school.

Sorry to hear about your sister’s friends, but I am glad she made it.
I don’t blame you for not wanting to watch, but I think it is vitally important for the nation to be reminded why we are in Iraq.
You take care.
Remember the past, but don't relive it. Let the dead bury the dead.
Keith Olberman is deeply saddened.
Today, I heard an advertisement on the radio, saying that on Tues. 9/11, MSG television channel was going to rebroadcast the “Concert for America”
This concert was held at Madison Square Garden, in Oct 2001, for the rescue workers.
I was there, and Hillary was booed right off the stage.
I wonder if they will show that when they replay it....not.
VH1 originally recorded it live.
God Bless the USA!
“It’ll just breed anger”
OMG, thanks for that. Heartbreaking.
It’s amazing because there’s no MSM. Just hand-held NYer video.
Kudos to MSNBC, which typically has its head up its backside orifice. I would love it if some TV station would re-air the entire concert that was done 48 or 72 hours after 9/11 in NYC, in which Hillary was booed off the stage by NYPD and NYFD, and in which Adam Sandler did a great skit as Operaman, introduced by James Lipton of The Actors’ Studio. Does anyone know where and how I can get a copy of this concert? This is the one where Richard Gere made an ass out of himself by calling for peace and non-retaliation - and got booed off the stage even faster than Hillery.
I just read your comment after I posted mine below. Do you know how I can get a copy of that concert? And what is MSG television?
Do you remember when Mike Moran (brother of FReeper BCM) told Osama to “Kiss his Royal Irish A$$”?

The History Channel is re-running their special on Rick Rescorla on 9/11 at 11:00 am.
I’m looking for shows on John O’Neil, like the excellent PBS special, but haven’t found any yet.
Ed
They’ll really need to start at about 8:45.
I wonder how many more recording like this were made that day that have never been released?
A little anger is a good thing.
That day should be burned into everyones mind.
So sad. It must be rough on her.
I dont want to watch it either, but I will try to.There is a rule in my family that I am not allowed to watch anything 9-11 related because it gets me so pissed off.

One of the cable channels is re running the concert we had here a little after 9/11 where we were all one and just wanted to support each other and America. Maybe MTV. Not sure.
Gee it it’s the one at Yankee Stadium I will probally watch or tape it. That was one I will never forget.
My sisters next door neighbor went to work in Tower 2 that morning and never came back. So much loss and now it seems no one really cares or wantto remember.
This could be a good thing but I won’t give them kudos until we see how they handle it — if it’s just straight footage of the original breaking news coverage, it’s good to remind Americans of that, of course. But will they have some of their bozos like Chris Matthews and Keith Olberdork provide commentary and “context” ala leftist propaganda spin???
I don’t trust PMSNBC to handle this decently..... we’ll see.
They’ll only interrupt it with Breaking News.
It's a shame that it appears so many have forgotten.
(claiming as a news org they did not want to take sides)
Good grief.
I don't remember that.
But it sure says a lot.
I’m sorry about your sister’s friends. What a blessing to still have her. I hope she is well.
If I remember right Tom Brokaw said he was concerned about it looking like they were “aligned with the US government”. I think he also complained about the flag that was in the corner of the screen as well.
ABC went with the same idea including not allowing them to wear the ribbons either.
Re: “It should be mandatory viewing in every schoolroom across the country. 5th grade to Grad school.”
I totally agree! (How about 5th grade to Seniors!) EVERYONE needs to watch an UNedited coverage of 9/11!
The reason the libs are fighting so hard to have the nation forget what happened is that they want to be in power. If everyone remembered the terror of that day - the voters would get them out because they are such wimps on protecting our nation and, voters would put in people who really believe we are IN a war! It is NOT rhetoric!
President Bush told us to go back to doing what we normally did so that he could calm the fears of the nation, but - unfortunately - he did too good of a job - And everyone has forgotten!
These things shouldn't be that hard, should they?
Thanks for the post.

I will never forget or forgive their betrayal of their fellow Americans.
Every day since 9/11, they have revealed themselves as traitors.
More aligned and dedicated to their radical ideology than country.
Destroy them wherever you find them.

Why would you start every day listening to a "regular schedule of filth and outrage"?
Even FOX seems to be taking up their cause lately. Earlier this morning I was in the next room when I heard someone say “we need to fix the problems that led to 9/11.” I immediately went in & changed the channel. I’m finding myself watching FOX less & less these days. There aren’t many places to go for the truth anymore.
I sure do. It was GREAT. The highlight of the evening.
Sorry, I don’t know.
MSG television is Madison Square Garden Channel
