... There's really only one major topic this week, the Petraeus report and related commentary, competing reports and just plain propaganda (now called "spin"). They do touch on Fred Thompson (too old and too late) and Larry Craig (he wouldn't be in the news if that SOB Hsu had just disappeared as he was supposed or at least died on that stupid train... but nooooo!). No, this week the shows are all about preemptive condemnation and creative misinterpretation of the Petraeus report. ...
Later than I have been this week, please forgive. I've just completed three weeks of travel and then, today, I finally got a contact lens for the post transplant eye, so I've been somewhat limited (and will be tomorrow) as I work up to using this lens full time. I'm thrilled to finally be at the beginning of this process after so many months, but it isn't fun, particularly the first few days. The most ... interesting... thing is that the two eyes have radically different perspective on any given scene. It seems that the nature of my condition makes one eye provide a somewhat magnified view of reality. Balancing the vision from both eyes with that odd circumstance is proving to be fun! <g>
