An undercover transit officer was shot three times last night during a shootout on a busy subway platform in the Bronx that left the gunman, a parolee with an extensive criminal record, dead, the police said............
Mr. Kelly said that Mr. Calves immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1980 and almost immediately turned to crime. He was arrested in connection with a robbery in New York in 1982 and sent to Attica Correctional Facility, where he was arrested again in 1984 after a homicide in the prison. Four years later, while still at Attica, Mr. Calves was arrested yet again, charged with possession of a weapon.
The authorities said he was released from prison in 2005 and was on parole until 2013. A police official said Mr. Calves was released into the custody of immigration officials, but was not deported because of exemptions in immigration rules for Cubans.
Mr. Kelly said the pistol that Mr. Calves used to shoot at the officers last night was stolen from a car in Columbus, Ohio, on Dec. 1, 2002.

We don't deport the immigrant criminals, we don't even keep them locked up!

Yo, Auntie B- "1980 Cuban Immigrant" = Marielito. Most Cuban Americans can't stand the folks who came during the boat lift. Thankfully, most (though not all) with criminal backgrounds were caught between 1981-1988. This is one who fell through the cracks.
BTW: Most of those arrested for rape and murder in the Bronx and native-born Nuyoricans and American blacks, with a rapidly growing number of Central Americans and Mexicans in the total. --- Signed, A former Bronx resident.

Well, the one plus in this whole business is that we won’t have to worry about him committing any more crimes.
If we can’t send even murderers back to Cuba, how did clinton justify sending Elian Gonzalez back?

LOL. Probably the most unintentionally funny movies ever made!
I seem to remember a standup comedian (may have been Richard Belzer, who, ironically, was in Scarface) doing Disney's Bambi in the style of Scarface.

Probably the most unintentionally funny movies ever made!Yeah, that thing had spawned a lot of funny one-liners.
Belzer actually used to be quite funny before succumbing to a severe form of BDS.
