[Hillary Clinton] How She Would Govern
Newsweek ^ | Sept. 17, 2007 issue | Jonathan Darman

Posted on 09/10/2007 3:54:43 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Hillary Clinton has been in politics long enough to know the value of the word "change." In 1992, her husband's political guru, James Carville, hung a white sign in the Clinton campaign war room that read CHANGE VS. MORE OF THE SAME. Bill Clinton won the presidency that year with 370 electoral votes.

Over the course of the summer, she watched her rivals for the Democratic nomination try again and again to define themselves as change and Clinton as the status quo. ("We're more interested in looking forward, not backward," Barack Obama told reporters. "And the American people feel the same way.") But she would not cede the change mantle, no matter how large her lead in national polls, not in an election where the voters were fed up and angry, not when Obama was saying "change" was what he was all about and John Edwards was running a tough populist bid. "The campaign was watching Obama and Edwards peddling this false choice of change versus experience," says someone close to the campaign who did not want to be identified discussing internal matters. "They realized, wow, this is a great opportunity to emphasize one of her strengths"—or, more precisely, it was an opportunity to argue that her years in the capital gave her the experience to make change happen. Triangulation, anyone?

And so through the month of August, Clinton's aides drafted new language that could expand the definition of change to include a woman who'd been in Washington, D.C., for 15 years. "You bring change by working within the system," Clinton finally declared on Labor Day weekend. "You can't pretend the system doesn't exist."

I love how the pro-Hillary media (which is to say 99.9% of it) buys into the "co-president" theme and uses it to give Hillary credit for years more experience than she actually has in elected office. I wonder if the average voter is buying it, though? This article tries to convince us that a Hillary Clinton presidency is a fait accompli and we should all just roll over and accept it. Not so fast, MSM!!

She doesn’t have a clue how to govern. She’s a marxist ideologue. She’ll leave the governing to her lackeys, while she formulates her left-wing visions for America. As with blow job boy, her underlings will be chosen according to personal loyalty to Ahab & Jezebel, not competence or commitment to America.

Any President primarily governs from the bully pulpit. Hillary’s high unfavorable ratings, besides hurting her electability, would make her job, even before taking the oath of office, difficult. Hillary will face an even more hostile environment than Bush is experiencing and politics will even more fiercely divisive.

I wonder if the average voter is buying it, though?

From my observations, no. I think the drive-by media is all a twitter with her Thyness, much as they are all a twitter over Britany Spears or Paris Hilton or whatever this week's train wreck happens to be.

When it gets down to the nomination, I think Ms. Rodham has an uphill row to hoe.....I think it can best be described by the term "Clinton Fatigue".....

The ‘barf’ alert is a given, coming from this source. She almost has to do nothing and just keep her mouth shut, the media will carry the water for the witch.

How would Hellery Clinton govern?

We have already seen how she governed the White House travel office, her medical care "feforms" and her "Life with Bill post Ble Dress."

She would be an unmitigated disaster which would weaken our nation to the point it would take 40 years or longer to recover.

the "co-president" theme and uses it to give Hillary credit for years more experience than she actually has in elected office.

A part of that strategy is to keep bringing ole Bill out and staging him -- to give the perception (to the Clinton loyalists) that a vote for Hillary is a vote for a 3rd term for Bill.

[Note that every time her poll numbers take a plunge or Obama gets a boost, ole Bill shows up on stage with Hillary.]

I’m one of those that blames her more than anything for the disgraceful 8 years of her husband. I truly believe that Bubba is nothing more than what he shows the world- an over-age frat boy, cunning and charming for the stupid, intellectually dull and far more interested in his hedonistic pursuits than he ever was in being the President. For actual policy, I have always held her and his more intelligent “handlers” responsible for the mess that was the “Clinton presidency”.

Will I EVER stand still for more of the same? Not while I draw breath.

You'd think the all powerful laimstream media could coordinate and run this witch out of town. I mean, they already have the mass faxing thing from the DNC down pat. The DNC talking points all seem to go out in a well coordinated manner. Seems to me they could do the same thing to oust the broom rider, unless, of course each person is personally worried about Arkancide.....

With an iron fist.

With burning buildings with children inside.

With a new Travel Office staff.

With newly orphaned children being returned at the point of a gun to their dictator run homelands.

With open season on WH interns.

With Administration officials winding up dead, covered in carpet fibers and blood trails defying gravity, in public parks.

With unexplained car crashes, multiple gun shot wound suicides, with plane crashes, and people offing themselves in jail.

With many more serially abused and raped women connected to her rapist husband.

Just like a good Marxist.

That’s how she would govern.

Next question.

- I think it’s been shown time and again that the the Great Clintoon can’t draw votes for other candidates, mainly because with your pants down around your knees, you have no coat tails. What he can do however, is draw money from the pockets of his wealthy Hollywood/Nantucket/ Manhattan worshipers.
I think his periodic appearances with Hitlery is due more for her need for more campaign cash than it is to trolling for more votes.

Classic Bill Clinton. From National Review Online:
Bill: Let Me Tell Ya, As a Hand-Shaking Campaigner, Hillary's No Me

After the pumpkin press conference, Bill noticed that Hillary and her entourage were out of sight. “Where’d they go?” he asked an aide. “Do they just not shake hands with as many people as I do?”

—Bill Clinton, quoted in the New Yorker, at the Hopkinton State Fair in New Hampshire the Sunday before Labor Day
