Best quote from a Chronicle blogger: Bgirl wrote: "What a couple of idiots! I'm surprised the Texas fan had any testicles and even more surprised an OU fan could find them."

I'm an OU fan, and what this guy did is unconscionable, just plain stupid

I'm not suprised that these 'fans' are intimately familiar with the location of male testicles at all. I'll just bet that these college football frat boys spend long hours late at night together doing just that.

College football fans are just plain weird....

Thomas, who once lived in Houston and became a Texas fan during the heyday of star running back Earl Campbell, is still recovering from his injuries but has returned to work as a meat cutter at a Sam's Club warehouse store.

You can't make this stuff up....

Yeah...it was unconscionable for a UTerus fan to get so pissed about bar insults that he had to go over and attack an old man. Please note that the Texas drunk guy was in his 20’s and the OU drunk guy was in his 50’s. Young guy thought he could whip the old man’s ass...Young guy gets old man in a headlock. Old man grabs agroboy’s sack and squeezes.

Self defense in my book. If a guy can’t take ribbing while wearing Texas garb in the middle of Oklahoma, he shouldn’t be out in public.

Street shootings and riots in downtown Dallas on the Friday night before the game did not used to be uncommon. The city has had things under a little better control the last 10 years or so, but you’d still have to give me premium pay to get me to go to the West End that night.

Beckett, a 53-year-old church deacon, federal auditor and former Army combat veteran, has pleaded not guilty.

Investigators believe that being a federal auditor is what made him instinctively go for the balls.

Church deacon - great example.

Sounds like the OU fan got the first sack of the college football season.

I remember a couple of years ago a Green Bay Packer fan, dressed accordingly, walked into a bar on the Illinois side of the border. Police found him naked, duct taped to a stop sign, in sub-zero weather.

If he is 34 years old, he was born the same year that Campbell started at UT. Kinda early to establish football loyalty?

That's exactly what touched off a bloody skirmish that left a Texas-shirt-wearing fan nearly castrated and an Oklahoma fan facing aggravated assault charges that could put him in prison for up to five years.

What do you want to bet that neither participant ever attended UT or OU?

I'll take that bet
Like Beckett and Thomas, many fans of the two college squads never attended either university

Your post oozes with insanity and hatred. Pretty typical of a lot of Sooner fans. I’m not the least bit surprised that a Sooner did this. After all, their “official handsign” is ours inverted. Pure class.

Yeah, but “the Earl of Texas” is an immortal. When I was a kid I was exclusively a baseball fan . . . but that all changed when I saw a highlight clip of Campbell’s 1977 Heisman Trophy season.
