Fugitive Yung Yuen “Norman” Hsu will be transferred to the Mesa County Jail sometime tonight, Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger confirmed this afternoon.

Hautzinger said he was told today to be prepared to handle Hsu’s bond-setting hearing Thursday.

Hautzinger said he plans to ask for at least $4 million bond for the wealthy businessman. One day before Hsu was arrested in Grand Junction, he skipped a bond hearing in a San Mateo, Calif., courtroom.

“Given that he failed to appear on a $2 million bond, I have to ask the judge to double that at least,” Hautzinger said.

WTF??? Hsu is a convicted felon, a clear flight risk with plenty of money from undisclosed sources, and has thratened suicide. He shouldn't get any bond at all.

This guy won’t live long enough to see his trial. He knows too much.

Alright, I got $100 that says he some how mysteriously turns up dead within 48 hours after going into prison.

That’s something that would be inline with previous Clinton associates that had information that could hurt their political aspirations...

Let's all remember Jim McDougall:

McDougal died of a heart attack in federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas. The circumstances of his death remain questionable: he was apparently denied access to his heart medication, and he was placed in solitary confinement without the medication.

I’m with you, the Clintoons will take care of this guy before he can open his mouth about Hillary.

Anybody compare the handwriting to hillary's?

Was it found torn up in a little pieces in the bottom of a brief case?

A supposed non profit that received a copy of Hsu’s suicide note, the Innocence Project, apparently receive funds from H$U.

A quick search shows the Innocence Project has funding and other connections to George $oreA$$’s Open Society Group.

Who will be the first brave and good reporter to connect George $oreA$$ to H$U.

Ping me if you find a connection, and I will do the same.

The reply linked by Eroteme below is interesting re these possible connections:

About this $40 MILLION loaned to Hsu. Where exactly is it? Where has it gone?

My guess: Foundations and organizations whose existence is to distribute funds in ostensible philanthropy—all of which have decidely liberal and/or activist bent. (And are legally set up to be insulated from disclosure and scrutiny.)

They, in turn, parcel it out to prearranged recipients, perhaps laundering it a final time through a PAC or 527 or grant/donation to another foundation before it lands up at the DNC, DSCC, Clinton Library, ACT, Acorn, etc.

Soft money can be disbursed in huge chunks. I suspect a good forensic audit of some of these foundations and charities and PACS would find a pattern of reciprocity that would boggle the mind. Of course, they’re not subject to such disclosure, which is the whole point.

Hsu’s 40 mil is spread around in ways the press hasn’t even begun to consider—and won’t.

Pakistani charged with illegal donations

WASHINGTON, March 3 (UPI) -- A Pakistani businessman living in California has become a fugitive to avoid prosecution for illegal contributions to prominent Democrats.

Abdul Rehman Jinnah of Los Angeles is believed to have left the country, the Los Angeles Times reports. He has been indicted on charges of setting up straw contributors to political action committees for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.

Jinnah allegedly recruited relatives, friends and employees to donate money to and Clinton, and then reimbursed them.

A federal official told the Times prosecutors had no evidence that the committees knew the contributions were illegal.

Officials for both committees told the Times they did not know about the investigation or the indictments until the newspaper contacted them, and said the committees would not keep the donations.

A legal resident of the United States, Jinnah had a number of businesses, including All America, a cell phone distributor, and a chain of yoghurt shops.

Jinnah hosted fundraisers for Boxer and Clinton. He was also involved in organizing the Pakistani American Leadership Center, which helped form a Congressional Pakistani Caucus.

Not an explicit connection (yet), but this article from June refers to both Soros and Lasry (but in separate contexts) and mentions that “some of the country’s top hedge fund managers helped co-host a fundraiser for Hillary Rodham Clinton in New York” —Curiously, this article has been deep-sixed from YahooNews and I had to find it in a Google cache......

They are the hedge fund managers.

Moneyed to extremes, they operate in a lucrative but little understood corner of the financial world. For politicians, particularly Democrats, they present a conundrum — a deep source of campaign dollars made on business deals at odds with the party’s populist image and policies.

Hedge funds are virtually unregulated, and their wealth represents a vast source of potential tax revenue to meet demands on government spending. Yet the political allegiances — and donations — of hedge fund managers are tilting Democratic, the result of an evolving world view or a sense of self-preservation and real politick.

And so, hedge funds have become a burden and a benefactor in presidential politics. Democrats Chris Dodd and John Edwards have raised the most from hedge fund executives. On Tuesday, some of the country’s top hedge fund managers helped co-host a fundraiser for Hillary Rodham Clinton in New York.

The FBI better move fast to get Hsu out of county jail and put him in protective solitary (from Clinton cronies & Chicoms who want him dead) and on a 24 hour suicide watch.

The CIA and FBI will loose his tongue - and Hsu has much to tell.
