Another example of liberal hypocrisy
Why is it ok for Democrats to sexually harass employees in the workplace?
Here we have an example of Chris Matthews sexually harassing co-worker Erin Burnett of CNBC on national television. They are indeed co-workers as they both work for the same parent company.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xKBDOLdU-Ug&mode=related&search=
Granted, Mathews speech is slurred and his face is quite red so we could give him the benefit of the doubt and postulate that he had a few too many cocktails at lunch time; however, being inebriated on the job wouldnt exactly mitigate the circumstance.
Most workplace sexual harassment cases are he said, she said (or vice versa) because I would venture to guess most perpetrators of sexual harassment wouldnt dare to brazenly do it in public, much less on national television.
Creepy though this flirtation is, it might seem rather innocuous to Americans long removed from the workplace. However, the people who brought us political correctness (Democrats & their bed fellows the trial lawyers) have formed a corporate world where a furtive glance could be enough to cost an employee their career and cost an employer hundreds of millions of dollars.
The bottom line is that if Erin Burnett wanted to retire ultra-wealthy, this case would be a slam dunk for any predatory lawyer worth his or her salt.
Even so, I doubt that any feminist will be calling for the head of Chris Matthews, one of their own. Its just another example how the elite liberal Democrats think they are above the agenda they promulgate and only believe applies to their scaffold - the little people.
MrArbitrage
That’s screwed up... and commonplace.
She initially recoils in horror.
Always indicate Human POS Warning when reporting on this mutant!
Bump so I can find later.
Your so full of it. I am not defending him but its no where near what you call it. It was human interaction nothing more nothing less.
I hope not. O'Reilly picked apart Ron Paul and made him uncomfortable.
WOW....I didn’t know Chrissy liked women?
So this is how he acts on camera...imagine what the interns experience in the back office.
Your absolutely correct. The poster could have posted a million reasons why not to watch him but choose something trivial.
Who’s Chris Matthews?
Working men and working women perceive actions differently
In general, men (66%) appear to be more flirtatious in the workplace than women (52%) and tend to be more tolerant about what is considered flirting as opposed to sexual harassment.
Although men are less likely (17%) to experience sexual harassment than women (35%), the ones who have felt harassed are more likely to do nothing in response (60%), versus 41 percent of women.
Sixty-one percent of men believe that being complimented on your body or physique by a female supervisor is welcome flirting, compared to just 20 percent of women when complimented by a male supervisor.

We could all send Matthews an on-line Home Study Course on what constitutes Sexual Harassment in the workplace. ;)
bump
You have "Chris Matthews" and "sex" in the same sentence - what more warning do you need?
;->
You can say the same about Contessa Brewer and Imus...or even Joe Scarborough this morning with the same women in this article, THIS MORNING.
there are two sets of rules. One for liberals...and one set for the rest of us.
Its always been that way. It always will be that way.
Thanks!
finally got the video to load......I saw this live when he did it.........there was no nexus to cause this save drinks and being horney
Her body language showed embarrassment, after he explained why he wanted her closer to the screen. She fell for it, and her eyes looked down. He made her uncomfortable with the “compliment” and laughed about it. She could not think fast enough to respond back, which showed she was uncomfortable with the comment. She should have said. Psst! Chris, did you know your fly was down? That would have shut him up. She has to fight her own battles, and be quick on her feet if she is to be successful in her co-host spot.
His wife, Kathleen, will address it, if she feels the need. She’s a successful professional and was a past co-anchor in the same type of media environment.
Good one!!
I noticed there are some DUmmie type comments added. I think YouTube and DU must have the major market share of f*** words and other degrading comments.
In a sexual way?
Matthews verbally molested Laura Ingraham when she was on his show to promote her new book. He introduced her by calling her beautiful and “God’s gift to men.”
Someone get this guy some saltpeter...fast.
You are 100% correct. I’m a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers) and they eat, live and breath this stuff...and regretably insist everybody else do the same.
‘I hope this world does not degrade to the point it harassment to interact anyone. After reading this thread it getting were you cant make eye contact without being accused of something.’
I agree...but imagine what MSNBC would be doing today if O’Reilly had done this on the air....or Rush, or Hannity, or or or or.
Its the hypocrisy that makes this story.
Oh please get a life!
Scarborough has been doing pretty much the same thing with this woman for the past week and a half, btw.
Rush just covered this. Mathews did the same thing to Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malkin. The guy is a sexist pig.
We should chip on and buy her a small keyring container of MACE in case she ever has to appear in studio with Prissy, that Kennedy Democrat.
They’re probably sleeping together.
Yep, I’m listening. And it matches what I’ve seen recently on MSNBC overall in the morning with Scarborough, or previously with that idiot Imus.
I don’t watch Matthews, no reason. I could write what he will say on any given topic before he says it.
You have a point.
I said Matthew’s wife or Burnett will take care of it, if it becomes an issue. We do not know if they jest like that off cameras as well. We know nothing about their working relationship. It was uncomfortable which is clearly seen asking her to get closer and closer to the camera as she is a beautiful woman. It could have been a “gottcha” type remark. They both laughed about it. What else could she do, she was on camera. Play along to get along.
I am just stating that companies frown on this as a legal pt of view.
Nothing wrong with my life. How’s yours doin’ ? ;)
Is that the best reply you’ve got?
Thanks.
I remember MSNBC running the O’Reilly harassment thing a couple of years ago. Olbermann just stopped mentioning it in every broadcast recently.
As I said they might all have this “kiddin” with one another game going on. Erin is a big girl.
I doubt it. If she was going to sleep with a tubby married old guy from her own network, she wouldn't be sleeping with another talking head - let alone one with a lower-rated show than hers.
She'd be sleeping with Phil Griffin or some other top executive who could actually boost her career.
Yep...its just kidding if a liberal engages in it.
If anyone else does, its a civil lawsuit with an out of court settlement.
You’re right. That makes more sense.
It’s a threesome.
;)
O’Reilly and Rush both have been accused of it. I bet they are very sensitive to the subject.
Every professional should be...unless of course you work for MSNBC, or the Clinton’s....then its just ‘kidding’
It wasn’t you personally but I think this thread is reaching!
But than I am from another time where is just silly!
Well, at least he's not an H-mo. She sure is purty.
