THE new cast of women on "The View" waited just three days for their first knock-down fight.
The verbal brawl surprisingly included typically staid Barbara Walters briefly losing her temper with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck - before pulling herself together and calming down.
The outburst began when Hasselbeck mentioned Monica Lewinsky in a discussion about presidential candidate Mitt Romney's Mormon religion and how a small sect of Mormons still practice polygamy.
The Monica reference triggered an avalanche of reaction from Whoopi Goldberg - and then Barbara.
"This is a good woman who has gotten a masters degree at the London School of Economics!" raged Walters, poking her finger at Hasselbeck's face. She pulled her hand back suddenly, took a flustered breath, and continued in a calmer tone.
"She's doing her best to have a life. Enough with Monica, everybody can move on."
Goldberg requested that Hasselbeck - a conservative who famously clashed with Rosie O'Donnell last season - not bring Lewinsky up again.
"I'm asking you to do me a favor because there's no reason for it today," Goldberg said. "This has nothing to do with Bill Clinton."
Goldberg is a longstanding friend and fundraiser for the Clintons.
Hasselbeck justified mentioning Lewinsky because the women were joking about Romney announcing he had a second wife.
"You're worried if some other woman would come out of the closet as the 'other woman,' " Hasselbeck sputtered. "It's not that much of a jump" to Monica.
"We've seen that before where another woman popped up" in the White House, she said

At every available opportunity the public needs to be reminded that Hillary “DIDN’T KNOW” about Monica and “DIDN’T KNOW” about Hsu.

And the remark was not a slam of Ms. Lewinsky, who has never held public office and HAS moved on. It was a slam of Bill Clinton who held the highest elected office in the land and betrayed that office (not to mention his family).
I agree Ms Lewinsky, a private citizen, should be allowed to move on. However, Bill Clinton's legacy as President, as an elected official, carries a permanent stain.

But when Elizabeth mentioned that we've been there before, all the Leftists freaked out and basically said "How dare you talk such trash about fine people such as Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton?? They don't deserve to be slimed by your innuendo!!"

Hasselbeck wasn’t attacking Lewinsky, she was pointing out the improprieties of the former Prez. Liberals can’t get anything straight.
If the gaggle can make polygamy jokes about Mitt, they can hardly complain about Elisabeth bringing up Monica the White Swallow.
Why is Hasselbeck the token conservative? Put Ann Coulter on the show, and Walters would be wetting her Depends.

Elizabeth was making a point about Clinton the Adulterer, and Barbara Walters, jumps to Monica Lewinsky’s defense as if Elizabeth was attacking Monica. This is hypocrisy of the finest and highest order, and is so laden with cognitive dissonance it makes me wonder if these people are sane at all. Since both Barbara and Whoopi are the types who blamed 22 year old Monica for victimizing the Alley Cat who was President, it is perfectly logical that they’re blaming Elizabeth for victimizing Monica. These two are truly the stupidest women on the planet. And it was Whoopi Goldberg who, on her first day, came to the defense of Michael Vick, NFL “hero”, reminding everyone that it was “the culture he grew up in” (the South) that was to blame for his participation in “dogfighting”. —This will certainly be news to about 99.9999999% of all Southerners. And it wasn’t “dogfighting” , you idiot. What turns the stomach of most Americans, was his participation is DOG MURDERING, DOG ELECTROCUTION, etc. which was the treatment the dogs who wouldn’t “perform” got. These people have such devious defense strategies that they think that by calling it “dogfighting” people will be diverted and distracted away from what it really was, which was torture of defenseless animals. The proper sentence for Michael Vick would be to allow him to continue playing football, but as soon as he didn’t “perform”, the first time he has a game where he didn’t meet his statistical average, a pack of wild, hungry dogs would be turned loose on HIM.
Getting back to the odious Clinton,don’t forget that the Justice Department under Clinton persecuted no less that 205 “Sex in the Workplace” infractions exactly like those Clinton committed in the Oval Office. But of course they left Clinton out , already having fulfilled their quota.

Of course you answered your own question. :) Hasselbeck has good intentions, but she’s easily overpowered by the other three obnoxious liberals. They don’t ever dare even the playing field at two a piece, or put a real strong-spoken conservative like Ann Coulter or Laura Ingraham on there. They don’t because they know how they’d end up - battered and bloody every single day.

I accidentally saw a clip of “the View” the other day when they were all yammering about something, and it was just a mess of high-pitched screeching, only dogs or bats could figure out what they were saying.
