Much has been said about the mendacious, full-page advertisement MoveOn.org ran in the New York Times this week referring to Gen. David Petraeus as "General Betray Us." Democrats in Congress orchestrated the piece, and most have refused to condemn this baseless attack on a man who has devoted more than three decades to defending the people of the United States.
Incredibly, even Petraeus' own Congressman refused to defend him. Let's be clear: General Petraeus was born and raised in Cornwall, New York and he is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Both Petraeus' hometown and alma mater fall within New York's 19th Congressional District in the Hudson River Valley. The district is represented by Rep. John Hall, an anti-war Democrat who has been in office for nine months.
One might wonder what kind of Congressman could sit back and watch in silence as his own District's favorite son is slandered by the cretins at MoveOn.

John Hall?
Isn’t that what got Larry Craig in trouble?
Oh, well, both ar efull of the same thing.
The kind who has absolutely no concern for any other human being -- i.e., a liberal.
The next liberal I see who has genuine compassion for anyone but himself will be the first.
bump to remind myself to call this jerkoff on Monday....his district is literally 100 feet up the road from my house...at the local firefighters parade in July he was walking with other polticians and looking and waving...he looked at me and I gave him the thumbs down sign and booed..
It should also be noted- I have gone to the same Memorial Day ceremony the past decade....Hall predecessor, Sue Kelly would show up EVERY year....Hall was nowhere to me found this year....
All the more reason to get behind this hard charger.
Kieran Lalor is good to go, and deserves all of our support.

What gets me is the general’s own superiors, General Pace and Admiral Fallon, do not support Petreaus. They should have been right behind the general supporting him during his appearances in Congress instead of hiding in the dysfunctional joint command structure. Fallon calls him an “ass kisser”.
