UPDATE: A source tells TMZ that it's not Barry who's writing this song -- in fact, "View" producers pulled the plug on Manilow's performance when his people demanded that he appear on the show without Elisabeth. Manilow has in fact performed on the show twice before -- both last year -- when Hasselbeck's been co-hosting.
TMZ has learned that legendary singer Barry Manilow has pulled out of his scheduled appearance on "The View" tomorrow -- because he strongly disagrees with host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's conservative view! Paging Rosie O'Donnell!
He did fundraisers for Dick Gephardt in the past.
He’s a flaming lefty.
Barry’s insanely jealous because Elisabeth landed herself a hunky NFL quarterback (even if he’s a back-up), and Barry has to settle for sharing 3rd-rate male dancers with Frank Rich and Keith Olberdork.
Also, Barry was afraid that if he got Elisabeth mad she would kick his butt on national TV and that would be humiliating.
So he slithers away like every other leftist scum who can’t face up to real people with real ideas.
Anyone else think this is all a stunt to pressure The Spew to replace Elisabeth? Why else did he book the show in the first place (unless he knew nothing about it and now some leftist pressure groups have gotten to him??). Maybe his handlers put him on the schedule and then he started getting pressure from leftist agitators making the lovely and sensible Elisabeth out to be some kind of Nazi...... Good heavens how I despise these vicious, hateful, smelly leftists!!

Years ago Manilow did a concert in my hometown. News reports were that there were wives threatening to leave their husbands if they didn't take them to see Baarrrrrryyyyyyy.

Linda Ronstadt had the same thing happen to her in Vegas a couple of years ago. She tried to backpedal a few days after her outburst but it was too late.
