Murray to FBI: You're putting state at risk
Seattle PI ^ | 9/17/07 | PAUL SHUKOVSKY AND DANIEL LATHROP

- in a direct appeal to FBI Director Robert Mueller -- expressed concern over the "small number" of agents in Washington state, saying low staffing levels put the "safety and security of our citizens" at risk.

Murray, in a terse letter sent Monday, told Mueller that the number of agents in the state must increase in order to address both terrorist threats and basic law enforcement needs.

"The FBI's low staffing level not only increases Washington state's vulnerability to terrorism, it also affects the FBI's crime-fighting ability in Washington state," Murray wrote.

"I am very concerned about reports that the FBI may not have enough agents ... leaving our citizens more vulnerable to crimes."

This is beyond bizarre coming from a Senator who votes against funding for security;
votes against surveillance.
votes against profiling.
and votes against funding the war in Iraq.

Of course the media will never question her commitment to fighting terror. As a matter of fact they will do their usual job of cleverly hiding their bias as they did with a subtle tagline at the end of this article.

They can't come out and call he on voting against funding for security, so they say this: "It's unclear whether she will advocate in Congress for enhancing the FBI's resources and agent corps."

Is this the Democrats’ latest tactic, complaining about the FBI?

The ‘telling’ quote from the article —

” ... leaving our citizens more vulnerable to crimes.”

Now, that’s just so September 10th......

The Democrats are delaying the Iraq funding vote until they can get their strategy in play. That includes planting articles in the news media.

I am sure that some culturally sensitive, unarmed policemen on bicycles in high crime neighborhoods will fix everything up.

The Seattle more left newspaper, the PI, supported Patty Murray during her reelection campaign and now must continue to “carry” the burden of her.

Patty Murray, as you recall, is the Senator who spoke favorably of Osama bin Laden as a builder of daycare centers....while she was flying out to welcome one of the Everett carriers home from a long deployment.

In actuality, this editorial is nothing but another photo op for this failed Senator, who as a member of the Veteran Subcommittee permitted the VA Hospital of Washington State to lose some of their accreditations and never did find the way in DC to Walter Reed until it became a news item that she could use for another of her hearings/photo ops.

She has repeatedly failed Washington State Industries such Boeing and Microsoft, although she attends every public functions to get her picture in the paper. The traffic, bridges, and roads in Washington are among the worst in the country (she did get funding for some highway toll booths.

Senator Murray was elected by the Democrats in Seattle and the Puget Sound area, who, as this editorial indicates, must now keep propping her up.

There’s some internal polling that is stimulating this action. Republican’s had better take advantage and get on point.
