The kid wanted to be arrested. Check out the full video, and read about what he did *before* the video began. Note the police that are behind him — they showed up when he went out of control *before* the video began.
This isn’t a free speech issue. It’s an issue of a boy who threw a tantrum in a place where tantrum-throwing was not permitted. And then he resisted the police.
The boy is an arrogant liberal mind-numbed jerk who wants attention. He got it.
So Mr. Kerry, who was wrong, the student or the police? Funny he didn’t address that with his non-comment.
Yep, exactly what I was thinking -
wait to see what the public reaction is, THEN establish your position on right and wrong.
“The video shows that the heckler wasnt tasered for heckling he was tasered for vigorously resisting being evicted.”
The lone raft of reason in a sea of fools.
The kids plan was to make a scene that involved police. Freepers cheer him. Disgusting. Call his “questions” legitimate. More disgusting.
If the FReepers defending this punk think he would have just said “Thank you” and sat down after Kerry responded to his nonsense, they are far dumber than I gave them credit for. This was a staged stunt which ended in the desired results and Freepers want to pay him for it, with other people’s money, of course. Funny, I don’t remember any protections in the Constitution for disruptive Howard Stern type stunts that waste decent people’s time and resources.
I’m stepping back. FreeRepublic disgusts me today.
If this was anything more than a publicity stunt, I’ll eat my shoes.
No, wait...they were made in China...
If they did not have politically corrupt cops, a woman and old man both a head or two shorter than the mouth, they would not have had to use the taser.
But I wonder if John Edwards’ hedge fund is invested in tasers...
While you were slandering American troops before a US Senate Committee would have been a good time for someone to wrestle you to the deck and remove from the chamber. But that's just my opinion.
And there’s a first time for everything.
I’m with CCCnative, pure theatrics. Sham show. Kerryfiction.
Amen. The kid resisted arrest and was fighting the cops. That is not the remedy. He created this situation, seeking exactly what he got. He is lucky he didn’t get his ass whipped for him. The police acted appropriately, even if it was embarrassing to that moron Kerry.
You can see he was asked to get to the question (by the staffer and Kerry) but he decides he's going to have it his way and continues. So they have the officers intercede. And the kid takes a tantrum. He has no respect for anyone else in that room.
I'll buy the kid a brand new white Hyundai if the UCF police promise to beat him like a pinata. He's got too much self esteem and beating a little of it out of him now will probably be good for him in the long run.
Agree with your analysis of the student’s tactics. What burns me is the extent to which politicians and others accommodate these spoiled brats. Between this situation where Kerry allowed the kid to butt in front of others awaiting their turns and the Code Pink demonstration at a private conservative forum, I am frustrated with the coddling of these disruptive people. So long as they are allowed to get away with it, it will continue. I want to say to certain poeple, “Get a spine” and shut down disrupters immediately.
It was clearly in the same room. The best defense Kerry
could have right now is to say, “I was concentrating on
what I was saying—I was answering his question—and
noticed someone was being restrained by police in one
corner of the room, but I didn’t know a taser was being
used.”
By the way he DID try to answer the question. All this is
going on and in the background you can hear him droning on as he answers the man’s question. He is almost oblivious to the police trying to subdue the man, or maybe he’s trying to
say, “Calm down everyone, and let me answer this.”
Look at the vid...he just keeps speaking and apparently
takes little notice of the police holding down the
man and tasering him.
I agree - it’s obvious the perpetrator was trying to incite the police the best he could.
Already on CNN they have student “political science” major hysterically calling for help on campus front ACLU, wants the officers arrested, lol.
Also on CNN, the black male anchor telling a old white women from Jena, (where there is an expected 40,000 marchers), that SHE IS A RACIST, for closing her business that day for fear of her employees, he also told her that her town is racist and by closing she is proving it.
The sweet woman was flabbergasted, not expecting to be smeared when accepting a invitation to speak on CNN.
I love the smell of taser in the morning.
Excellent post. It’s pathetic how many FReepers have drunk this loser’s Kool-Aid.
