Thanks. Nice to have them all in one place. I think the segments were fair and reasonable. It does seem like an attack on the schools would be a perfect terrorist kick to where America would really hurt.

I remember thinking after Belsen that the Russians would be justified in using nukes to destroy the culture that could produce such horror. We need total war to completely destroy them. Beck is careful to point out that over reacting is exactly that these pukes want to spur their holy s—t war.

I’m sure Glenn had to fight with CNN to get these videos on their site. CNN has been kissing terrorists asses on a daily basis. That hit piece on Christians by Ammanpour comparing them to jihadis and Alqieda was just sick and outrageous.

bump - and here’s a sunny thought - if the security at public schools is terrible, where does that put the security at nursing homes?

I had the opportunity to speak with a local sheriff on this topic last week and he was very candid. When he told me that law enforcement was very concerned about a terrorist attack on American schools, I was actually relieved and I told him so. I told him, had he tried to placate me by telling me that there was nothing to be worried about, I'd have been *really* worried! It makes me feel better to know that they're "on it".

I asked him how we could go about getting the same "Fight Back" program that they had come into Dallas and he said that *that* had to come from the community. If the police department tries to get something like that implemented, people will panic and think that they know something and aren't sharing. (Which, he assured me, isn't the case.) But if *we* do it they'll support such a program in any way they can. (I'm in Texas.)

Not a criticism, believe me, but I have a hard time, even though I know it’s been thought of by them already, giving air to this to plant more seeds we don’t ever want to harvest.

I personally believe there is absolutely nothing that can be done in almost any school to prevent this, short of arming all the teachers, never gonna happen.

My only condition......they MUST do weekly range time. Along with training in how to handle situations like this.

Excelent link, mimmson! You should post this with it's own thread. The more people who are *aware* of this threat, the better.

Terrorists are counting on children to behave like sheep. The schools are encouraging children to do exactly this. (Duck and cover?! You've *got* to be kidding me.) Parents need to put pressure on schools to bring in the Fight Back program and to arm the teachers. Schools need to be forced to see that these guys mean business, then both schools and local law enforcement need to be reminded about the bank robbery that left the LAPD out-gunned. If the schools think that one or two armed security guards are going to be able to hold back a serious assault, they're delusional.

Crap. What am I talking about? The NEA will *never* allow their teachers to carry. Any parents who speak out for stricter measures will me marginalized as right-wing kooks. Nobody'll spend a dollar to bulk up security until *after* the crap hits the fan. Heck, if we only get hit once, schools will throw a token gesture at the problem, then quietly go back to business.

Unless we're hit over and over again in a very random pattern, the issue will never be addresses like it needs to be. Even one devastating event won't be enough to move us. People will just assume that it was a fluke. As a society, we've just been safe for too long to change our day-to-day activities without a cattle-prod.

Glenn's nutty sometimes with that. Nutty in a hilarious way, not tinfoil hat way. One time I was listening and after yet another end of the world story he goes into the Purina One commercial touting it's benefits as people food during Armageddon. I was just cracking up.
