WRITE TO BUSH : Ahmadinejad should NOT visit Ground Zero
Mail to the White House ^ | 09 19 2007 | drzz

Posted on 09/19/2007 11:52:31 AM PDT by drzz

If Ahmadinejad visit Ground Zero while Iranian bombs are killing American soldiers, while Iran is suspected by the 9/11 Commission to have facilitated the journeys of the 9/11 plotters, it is the biggest shame for the US.

AMERICANS, wake up.

Don't let do that.

It is like spitting at the faces of the US soldiers fighting in Iraq.

That POS should never be allowed to set foot on US soil ever again, especially at ground zero.

I remember that when the Soviet leader visited the US in the fifties, Eisenhower didn’t let him even go to Disneyland. Why would we let this SOB near Ground Zero?

I think that is a good idea.

Ahmadinejad ought to BE Ground Zero ... in Tehran, Iran!

And Captain Picard told his First Officer ... "Make it so."

This is a desecration of Ground Zero and a slap-in-the-face to our men and women in the field. Granted we are not formally at war with Iran, but it’s about as close as you can get without the VCongressional declaration.

Gosh, I hope he doesn’t have a traffic accident.

Maybe he should be arrested for supplying arms to Iraq and making credible terroristic threats against the U.S.

The last thing we need is for him to do a photo shoot in NYC.

Raymond W. Kelly, Commissioner
Police Department
http://www.nyc.gov/html/mail/html/mailnypd.html

Commissioner Kelly,

As an American citizen and a Vietnam Veteran I am compelled to beg you to do everything in your power to not allow Irans Ahmadinejad to soil the memory of the Victims of 9-11. This would also be a slap in the face to the families of every GI who died in the WOT; to those who have fought and continue to fight it; all Veterans of the US Military and the general population of American Citizens.

Please do not allow this.

Very Sincerely,

According to what I’ve read the President isn’t involved. The culprits are Mayor Bloomberg and NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly

http://www.nysun.com/article/63004

In a move that has stunned New York, the Bloomberg administration is in discussions to escort the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to ground zero during his visit to New York next week, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said today.

The Iranian mission to the U.N. made the request to the New York City Police Department and the Secret Service, who will jointly oversee security during the president’s two-day visit. Mr. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to arrive September 24 to speak to the U.N. General Assembly as the Security Council decides whether to increase sanctions against Iran for its uranium enrichment program

More New Yorkers probably side with him and aainst Bush, which is perhaps the biggest tragedy here. If this is not met with a huge backlash, and perhaps a physical presence protesting his visit, then it is just one more sign the American people have lost their will.

No, I say let Ahmadinejad go to ground zero. He may laugh and rejoice but he will see how deadly seriously we take it. It will make a somber impression on him in the end and let him know how crazy the Americans are when it comes to self interest.

Here's my letter to GWB, cc to Dick Cheney:

Mr. President:

Any contemplation of allowing Ahmadinejad to visit Ground Zero is beyond the pale!

This is a leader of a terrorist state that is currently supplying weapons and training to those killing American military in Iraq. The distinct possibility exists that members of the Iranian Quds Force are acting under direction of Ahmadinejad in supplying EFP's to the Iraq theater, and perhaps involved in actual operations resulting in American deaths.

This man would not go to Ground Zero with a sense of reverence - he would go to gloat.

Allowing Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero is an insult to the memory of all killed on 911, and the members of the U.S. military killed and wounded in operations against the terrorists since that day.

A sense of proportion and decency demands the United States prevent his visit.

Sincerely:

For the record:

A spokeswoman for the Senator Thomspon quickly condemned the proposed visit.

"It is an insult to the memories of those who died on 9/11 at the hands of terrorists, and those who have fought terrorism for years, to allow the president of the world's top state sponsor of terrorism to step foot at ground zero," the spokeswoman, Karen Hanretty, said. "Iran is responsible for supplying weapons and supporting extremist who are killing US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan to this very day."

'The Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust', is in Battery Park City about 2000 feet from Ground Zero at the tip of Manhattan in Battery Park. Make him go see this exhibit: Daring to Resist: Jewish Defiance in the Holocaust now on view through July 2008.

They should send him there first.

" According to what I’ve read the President isn’t involved. The culprits are Mayor Bloomberg " , he might as well Register as a Liberal Democrat because he will not many Republican votes now after this ridiculous stunt..... I believe he is a Liberal plant by the Soros/Hillary machine.
He will never be taken seriously when he campaigns and talks about fighting the war on terror and national security.
Mr. Ahadajaket will just go back to Iran and tell the Muslim world how he was in the heart of the enemy and they didn't do anything except treat him with royalty and with velvet gloves and use this as propaganda, and the Democrats will use this as some kind of Liberal propaganda against the Republicans.

The President has the authority to stop this. He could pull Ahmedinejad's visa, deny secret service protection, limit the armed Iranian security detail to the UN building etc, etc, etc.

A real President would never have allowed Hirohito to visit Pearl Harbor before the war was even over !!

This is sinfully absurd and offensive to the hilt. I expect to hear a bunch of spineless nothing as usual from President Pollyanna.

According to what I’ve read the President isn’t involved.

Not involved? The president has been telling Americans since 911 that Iran is part of the Axis of Evil. Last week General Petreus testified that Iran is directly responsible for American deaths in Iraq. If the president is not involved he needs to get involved.

I don’t see how he could deny him, and the MSM would take the opportunity to bash the President for weeks over it if he did.

Personally, I think its much better the American People see this guy at Ground Zero, and let the anger flow ‘from the people, by the people’.

the MSM can’t spin that.

Just my opinion. It ticks me off as well, but think it through. This is as much a propaganda war here at home as it is a real shooting war for our troops.

We have to win HERE, there is no doubt if we do we will win THERE.

I was thinking the same thing. Why let the Left have a monopoly on the “protest” movement?

Plus, it would be about defending the integrity of the site against intrusion by an avowed enemy, not silly attempt at affecting policy by swaying public opinion.

I bet there would be a bigger turn-out than the last several leftist “die-ins”, etc.
