FRAMINGHAM, MA - Massachusetts authorities want to bring a man they say is the so-called MetroWest rapist to the Bay State to face rape and assault charges.
Marcelo Mota, 28, is being held in New Jersey on $1 million bail on several sex-crime charges there, but was informed yesterday by a Burlington County, N.J., Superior Court judge that Massachusetts has filed a Governor's Warrant to have him brought to Massachusetts, said Burlington County district attorney spokesman Jack Smith.
The judge gave Mota time to decide if he would agree to waive a rendition hearing or to fight it because Mota's lawyer was not in court yesterday. Smith said the next date for a hearing has not been set.
Mota was arrested in New Jersey on July 14, after Hopkinton Police filed a warrant for his arrest.
Mota, a former Framingham resident and an illegal alien, is accused of raping two women in Westborough and assaulting a third woman in Hopkinton in an eight-day period in August 2003.

MA is a sanctuary for illegals, isn't it? This guy should call his 'Uncle Teddy' and ask him to get him off the hook and get him citizenship. We know that 'Uncle Teddy' wants to give him and all of his family citizenship, so I just know he'd want to help him! ;o)
