My Daughter sent this to my wife who sent it to me.

This is a short Christian Drama.

Anyone - Christian or otherwise who is not moved by this is officially twice dead, plucked up by the roots.

I thank my God daily for having been able to live the last 50 years in the land of the free because of the brave.

Hmmm - I personally would not wear a dress. Maybe we could call it a toga for the sake of drama?

And Maybe if you stretch it a bit you could have the woman start wearing the pants about half way through?

Great to know there are still people out there who believe and live by holiness standards...

I hate to be a stick-in-the-mud, but this is one of the saddest piece of Christian tripe that I have seen. Instead of being moved, personally I would have gotten up and walked out.

I guess this is comment #3.

I would recommend some time in studying the word of God. We have enough entertainment today. We don’t need to set aside the 3-hour a week we spend in church for more entertainment.

Someone sent it to me a few weeks ago. It’s very well done, and very moving. Thanks for posting.

Here’s another you might like.

HarleyD needs to lighten up.

The sad thing about Jesus Christ Superstar as well as other older works like John Stainer's, "The Crucifixion," is that it leaves Christ only hanging and dead on the cross. Of course, nothing beats Handel's "Messiah" for its majesty and quality of music.

There was a characteristically musically "70's-ish" opera that came out about the time as JCSS (1971), entitled, "Truth of Truthes." It went through the entire Bible from the beginning of Creation to Revelation and it includes the risen Lord. I still have the two record vinyl copy. Like I implied, the music isn't great, but there are a couple of good songs and few humorous things like Jim Bakkus playing the voice of God speaking to Noah.

It was composed in part as a counter measure to JCSS for those of us at the time -- myself included -- who saw JCSS as blasphemous. While I still believe that JCSS was in fact composed to mock Christ (and that's for Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber to answer for), Christ will not be mocked. In spite of the evil which may have been intended, ironically the message of the sacrifice of Christ has gone out and remarkably some even credit JCSS with part of the pathway that brought them to Christ.

His Word is powerful and will not return to him "void" -- regardless of the vehicle.

That's why I say HarleyD should lighten up a bit. Religious-message and themed drama plays were often times opening acts in theater in ancient and medieval times, and Passion plays were and are common throughout Europe even today.

The Good News gets out through many vehicles, and theater in my opinion -- like movies -- should be included as one of them.

I suppose I must be plucked and twice-planted because, despite being born again and a member of my church’s worship team, this presentation failed to move me except, perhaps, in a retrograde manner. Maybe I just don’t understand “art.”

This presentation is obviously targeted to teenagers who struggle with their identity and purpose in life. I can see where it would be very effective for a teen audience.

Not to mention the parents of those teenagers.

Thank you shineon. To Christians wrapped up in the world, with their minds set on worldly things, this is a reminder to return to their first love, Our Lord Jesus.

I always thought that this was a rather humorous part of the New Testament.

In stark contrast to the rest of this portion of the story

John 18:3-6

3Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

4Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

5They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

6As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

HarleyD needs to lighten up.

I know I sound like an old prude. I'm not really that way. David danced before the ark, after all.

I found this "interpretive dance" to be incorrect in a number of areas:

If they're going to do something like this dance they might as well know what they're talking (er, dancing) about.
