Junior Kelly Brewer, president of the CU Muslim Student Association. Students founded the MSA back in 1980 for the purpose of educating the campus about the Islamic Religion.

Uh, no thanks, Kelly; I already learned everything I need to know about Satan from studying the Bible.

"I've always been interested in spirituality.....

This is a red flag phrase. I have met several people in my life that have uttered this. There were a mix of people that basically rejected Christianity but are willing to believe almost anything else to fill the void. They espouse beliefs that would make Calypso Louie sound sane.

Women are treated with such respect in Islam, it's remarkable. Just remarkable.

Many men and women in the United States see a headscarf, traditionally known as a Hijab, as a symbol of oppression. But Brewer chooses to wear it. Brewer believes that the Hijab demands respect for women because it ensures that the person who is talking to a woman in a Hijab is valuing her based on her intellectual qualities, rather than her body.

If Catholic women hadn't abandoned head coverings en-masse in recent decades... who knows?

That photograph always makes me sick. How on earth do people think we can negotiate with a leader who promotes this?
