Okay, I admit it. Part of it is that he just looks cuddly. Possibly cuddly enough to turn me straight.
More proof, as if it were needed, that Western leftism is based on masochism and self-loathing. Leftists believe that they are inherently bad, that they need to be punished, and the primary target for their hatred are those Westerners who don't agree and continue to act as if they have nothing to apologize for. No Third-World despot, no matter how blood-thirsty, no matter how oppressive, can be truly bad if he condemns the real enemy of an American Leftist - an American non-Leftist.
Western Leftism isn't a political philosophy so much as a psychiatric problem involving a need to be submissive and get humiliated. American political discourse would be greatly improved and sanity would be restored if liberals admitted it and found the dominatrix of their dreams instead of channeling their frustrated desires into licking the boots of dangerous nuts like Ahmedinijad.
