... I had to fight off that constant mantra from some therapists to blame my parents. When you get into that, you start blaming everyone for everything.

Ain't that the truth! You can probably identify with the title of a magazine article I saw many years ago: "Your Parents May Have Made You What You Are Today ... but it's your fault if you stay that way."

“Her fake nice girl persona collapsed quickly after her talk show ended.”

***

Actually, that nice girl image went away long before her talk show ended. I could have been ok with her being a lesbian, and as a fat person myself, I could identify with her less than Hollywood body, but once she started yapping, particularly about things she knew nothing about, that cute personality went away. She’s just a vicious and miserable person. She’s unhappy and she’s setting out to make others unhappy along with her. Has nothing to do with her weight or her being a lesbian or whatever troubles she has had in her life.

Many people, we hope, have a beautiful soul, whatever their physical exterior may be. In Rosie’s case, the nasty exterior may be the better part of the package....

Wish I had read that article — the title is so true.

That “fire doesn’t melt steel” was a hoot at Port Kembla.

Her fake nice girl persona collapsed quickly after her talk show ended.

In 1996, during the Presidential election, she spewed, "Bob Dole sucks". Not long after that, a fawning article referring to her as the "Queen of Nice" appeared in, of all things, Family Circle magazine.

I wrote a letter to the editor pointing out that the reason Rosie has the freedom to spew her venom was because of brave men like Senator Dole who risked their lives in wars against oppression. Needless to say, my letter did not get printed.

Wish I had read that article — the title is so true.

I was a teenager at the time I saw it and I never read the article (probably because it was easier to blame my parents for all of my problems.) LOL. I never forgot the title, though.

Almost every homosexual I’ve known has been molested or had some disturbing sexual event when they were a kid. Sure enough, Rosie implies that in her book.

Rosie used to break her bones for attention when she was a child. She’s absolutely abnormal.

The more I read about her, the more convinced I am she’s just mentally ill. Shame she managed to get those poor kids.

I have this image of the children growing up to be lowlifes and slackers. Maybe they will surprise me and be accomplished or at the very least responsible adults. I hope so. They would, however, have an easier time of it in a much healthier home environment. Having Rose as their mother (father?) has to make growing up more difficult.

My image is that they will be emotionally unstable, just like their “dad”.

Rosie’s obviously unstable, and does anyone here think she doesn’t yell at them because they get on her nerves?

She’s also used them to make her political points, such as when she dressed her child up as a soldier and put her on her blog!

This is a woman who used to break her own bones for attention. She can’t possibly be a suitable parent.

"Maybe she’s having an affair with Dan Rather..."

Frightening as it is to imagine (I'd rather have gone through my entire life without thinking of it), maybe such an affair would be of benefit to both.

Money talks, that’s the real reason she got those children.

Interesting that it was also announced today that “The View’s” ratings with Whoppi are already higher than they were for Rosie. Not that I give a care about The View but I always like seeing Rosie get knocked down a notch.
