Two stories have been filled on this and the second one contradicts the first(big surprise/s). Second one alleges that the fight is NOT racially motivated (Another big surprise/s). Both stories here.

If they have a comments link please post it. I have some questions for them and the authorites who are so quick to judgement.
bttt
The two links are all I have.

Nah, no racism there. Only whites can be racists.

No Justice -- No Peace!!
Let's March!!!
I wonder who was making the video, and how it got to the media?
From what I see, it was racially motivated, opps, I forgot, blacks can’t and are not racist ( sarcasm ).
Nothing to see here, folks, just move along. Just some roughhousing like we all used to do when we were kids. Now just move along, keep moving.....
Gang beatings do seem to quite common to black teens. I had the privilege to witness one in person.
Hey he wasn’t killed so what is the problem?
Probably a friend of the gang members so they could have a record of their handiwork.
I agree. So I then wonder how it got to the media?
The Global link was curious in that the talking head warned that the video was shocking and went on to say that parts of it were too graphic too show; why, if they’re too graphic too show shouldn’t they better be considered by the viewer as being too graphic to hide?
More and more of these evildoers tape their crimes or make no attempt to conceal their actions. Either they are incredibly dumb or they have no fear of the “justice” system. After those animals beat up those girls in Long Beach CA last Halloween and got nothing but a tap on the wrist it figures they know they can assault and cause mayhem with almost no repercussions so why not go for it.
And who took the video? A dark skinned guy who was looking to gloat over a (potentially) racist attack? If so, why would he give it to the media? Or a light skinned guy who was looking to race bait?
Did the video just happen to start with the light skinned boy standing in the middle of the street and suddenly the dark skinned boys come up and attack? Or was that all the news report showed of the video and there was more? If the former, then it seems staged. If the latter, then there's the question of what went on before the clip the news report showed.
This post isn't going to be too popular here, but what's new about that?
And while at it, is this just another attempt at jumping at any opportunity to showcase (potential) racism toward those of European descent?
If you want to be that way, you could find plenty of racist attacks, comments, etc. which are not directed at those of the majority ancestry, too.
**Gang beatings do seem to quite common to black teens. I had the privilege to witness one in person.***
Nothing new. Remember the little ditty kids used to sing about 60 years ago?
“Three against one is ...” Uh ho. I’d better stop there.
Yeah, sure. Everybody know that black persons can't possibly be racists. Strictly a white thing.
The press has information they CAN'T release. WOW!
Wonder what it could be since the press doesn't even blink in hesitation when releasing classified information.
Yeah, Damien probably provoked his attack by looking at one of the attackers at school funny. Therefore, it's not racial.
PC Uber Alles.
Attacks on whites by blacks are extremely rare and certainly never racially motivated. Right?
I wonder who was making the video, and how it got to the media?
Might be what has already been suggested, or it might be neighborhood residents fed up with hoodlums.
The attack on the boy--based only on the video--is no more, and no less, racist than the Rodney King beating by police. You aren't going to consider that beating racist, are you?
You see a light skinned boy being beat up by dark skinned boys, and then from what you see, it is racially motivated?
But if you see a dark skinned man being beat up by light skinned men, then what you see is not racially motivated?
Rodney King's beating was not racist.
This boy's beating might be racist, but there is too little information.
It is not at all apparent or obvious that this was a racist attack.
“Wonder what it could be since the press doesn’t even blink in hesitation when releasing classified information.”
Probably just more footage of the assault that makes the thugs look even more thuggish, and the victim in worse condition.
Gimme a break.
The photos of the dead soldier being dragged through the streets was not too “graphic to show”. Wait, let me retract that.
Time Magazine saw fit to airbrush his exposed genitalia. It offended some of their sensibilities.
Oh good grief.
The belief of a significant number of Californians is that if Rodney King hadn’t been black, he wouldn’t have been so severely beaten.
“The photos of the dead soldier being dragged through the streets was not too graphic to show. Wait, let me retract that.”
Many of us are probably thinking the same thing. They didn’t show more because it’d be Un-PC to make black youths look too thuggish, or too savage. Doesn’t fit the template and Jesse and Al might launch another protest march against the furtherance of stereotypes.
But it sure didn’t bother them to show dead soldiers in Vietnam, and they’d love to show every flag-draped casket that arrives at Dover AFB from Iraq. Of course, their motivation was very different in those cases.
Most of the posts here tend to drip with sarcasm because the accepted norm is that whites are the racists. They are the ones who commit “hate crimes” and other groups simply are not viewed in the same manner. Far too often the liberal media jump the shark when it comes to looking at situations and injecting race into their slants and inflaming tensions beyond belief. However, the black community is filled with hypocrites who will cry racism for crimes (proven, alleged or perceived), protest, organize boycotts and whatever else they can come up with but are no where to be found when the roles are reversed.
Crime is crime and each should be treated equally in my book. If you beat up without some provication (self defense) then the reasons don’t matter do they?
If I understand you correctly, beating someone is not a sign of hate, but calling them names is.
Reminds me of the old joke that Baptists won’t have sex standing up, because it could lead to dancing.
No really! Seven white kids beating a lone black kid would be greeted with:
“Well it doesn’t mean anything. I didn’t hear the N word so it must be just a fight.”
Al Sharpton & Jesse agreed....
That's because it's not a fight, it's a beatdown!
Prove it.
I guess your belief in an abstract brotherhood exceeds the reality in which most find themselves trapped.
A gang of black punks could call me a cracker, honkey, white devil, etc. all day long, and I wouldn't really care as long as they didn't beat the crap out of me.
But you claim you can find "you could find plenty of racist attacks" by whites on blacks; now you have a chance to back up that claim.
How long will it take Al and Jesse to rush to the defense of the thugs who did this beating, I wonder.
“..... they have no fear of the justice system....”
here’s the way the system worked when I lived outside Baltimore.
Option 1....the black Democrat state’s attorney’s office couldn’t get the thug to trial within 180 days of arrainment so the punk walked.
Option 2....the punk does get to trial but the black Democrat court system can’t find evidence or witnesses so the punk walks.
Option 3.....the punk is tried and all witnesses have amnesia because in the last trial the key witness and her child were shot to death in a home invasion....her girl friend who happens to be visiting gets it too...again the punk walks because of the pervasive “Don’t Snitch” campaign on the mean streets of Urban America.
Are you suggesting that the white kid purposely got himself beat up by a bunch of black kids? wow.... Seems kind of dangerous to me. What if he had been killed or permanently maimed? Your suggestion seems like a absurd justification of a brutal beating. Is that really what you stand for?
Of course it was racist! I mean, he was walking down the street, and by his mere presence reminded the black kids of the hundreds of years of oppression of their people, and thus was a non-verbal display of racism.
I mean, it's plain as day...
/s
Part of the gang's marketing campaign, probably.
I’m stunned by the savage attack this white thug perpetrated against those other kids. He repeatedly battered their fists with his face. I could hardly stand to watch it. Their knuckles could have been severely damaged by the repeated hammering from his sharp, angular cheekbones and sledgehammer-like forehead.
This is what can happen when mastery of the deadly art of Face Fu falls into racist hands.
Yes . . . someone get Jesse and Al on the phone NOW!
The victim was lucky his neck wasn’t broken by the attacker who took him by the head and twisted him to the ground. It appeared to me that was his intent.
From wikipedia: “The incident raised a public outcry among those who believed it was a racially motivated and gratuitous attack.” “...in the black community of South Central Los Angeles) the acquittal in a state court of the four defendants, charged with using excessive force, provided the spark that led to the 1992 Los Angeles riots.”
Clearly many blacks considered it to be a racist beating.
Yup. Dead on, Travis.
This thread (and the others dealing with this incident) probably won't last long here. Apparently, there are _some_ subjects too sensitive for even FR to be associated with....
My take: lock the thugs up, and simply ignore those who would demonstrate and intimidate, be they 1,000 or 100,000. Of course, I felt this way back in the sixties, as well!

Well, there used to be slavery in the United States. So this beating was justified....
(/sarcasm)
Odds are it was a gang member recording the event for the homies that couldn’t be there. It probably got confiscated. You know it wasn’t an innocent bystander, or they would have been attacked as well.
