From the birds-of-a-feather department comes news that former ABC "Nightline" host Ted Koppel is "hurting" for former CBS anchor Dan Rather.
The latter's ouster was a "travesty," Koppel said, on account of the fact that Rather's infamous National Guard story was "much more correct than incorrect." More:
Dan Rather was squeezed out with such little class from CBS News, Mr. Koppel said today at a forum at Fordham University in New York City that was put on by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The academy tonight presents its annual News and Documentary Emmys. During this evenings ceremony, Mr. Koppel, the former ABC Nightline newscaster who now works for Discovery Communications, is scheduled to be honored with a Lifetime Achievement award from NATAS.
Mr. Koppel also spoke about the difficulties that network news departments face as parts of media conglomerates. Speaking of his former employer, he said, ABC News is a pimple on the elephants behindthe elephant being ABC parent Walt Disney Co.

LOL. What a moron, Koppel embraces the "fake but accurate" lunacy (as I'm sure many do in the MSM, though most of them know better than to open their mouths in public and reveal their biased idiocy). I also love this, that Koppel thinks being a highly successful Governor of one of our 3 largest states is no qualification at all for the presidency (while being a loser Governor of Arkansas or a 1 1/3 term US Senator from NY is a GREAT qualification for Clintonistas, I'm sure):
"When Mr. Bush was running for president, Mr. Koppel asked then Governor Bush what qualified him to be president. Mr. Bush cited his experience as governor of Texas, his experience running the Texas Rangers baseball team, as well as the fact that he was a loving husband and father. Mr. Koppel replied that those qualifications would seem to be good qualifications if one were running for president of the Kiwanis Club, but not for president of the United States."

This is why these “Journalists” have ZERO crediblity with me.
Instead of bitch slapping Rather out of their profession for his transparent violation of every single Journalistic ethic in regards to the Bush Guard story, they all rush to rally around and DEFEND him.
OK, so that means they have NO problem at all simply MAKING up what they report as “NEWS”.

Koppel should pick up on Rather’s story where he left off out of tribute to Rather. Then we’ll see how long Ted lasts.

If ABC News is a pimple, maybe it needs to be squeezed until the pus that is the news reporters and “stars” squirts all out, so it can heal back up.

Dan Rather was squeezed out with such little class from CBS NewsI agree, if CBS News had fired him for incompetence rather than walking on egg shells around him, they would far better off and I believe Rather would be also.
Rather needed a good hard reality check and good old termination would have done him wonders

I just got it. Koppell made his career off the Iran hostage crisis during the Clinton administration. Nobody is asking him about the nutjob and he's way too proud to beg.
Go ahead and ask him about how he got started. Not that it mattters.

Mr. Koppel said the story was much more correct than incorrect. Mr. Koppel said that those responsible for the incorrect parts of the report deserved to be chastised and punished. Those responsible are being chastised, Ted.

The fact that Koppel thinks that being Governor of the Lone Star State with a population, size, economy, and geographic borders both interstate and international that would rank it as one of the largest nations in the world (but lower than an independent California ;))only qualifies George W. Bush to be running for President of the Kiwanis Club says a lot more about Koppel than candidate George W. Bush.
Wouldn’t anyone with a sense of self realize how stupid that statement would sound coming out of their mouth? I think the fact that he had an (R) by his name made him unqualified to run for the Presidency to this HACK PARTISAN HYPOCRITE who flys the Donkey Jolly Roger when not sailing under the false colors of objectivity.

responsible for the incorrect parts of the report deserved to be chastised and punished.
That would be the forged document....those who forged it, what was written on it, those who passed on it, all those who pretend it was real (Koppel included), and those who used it.

Have any of these people asked what Hillary’s qualifications are? Would he ask her the same question he asked Bush and come up with a different response? I have been asking for weeks “what are her qualifications” and the answer appears to be “none.”

It is absolutely confounding that anyone can overlook fake documents used in conjunction with the DNC and find the issue is with the "story they tell". I know we talk about this all the time and even joke about it. But what does this really say about these people. I know they are idiots and stooges but come on now it says a whole hell of a lot more. What does it say when th NYT publishes national security information along with DNC talking points.
What it tells me is that these supposed journalists have given up on their duty and their belief in a 2 party system. The connection and coordination between the MSM and the DNC is just too obvious.

I believe the “Fortunate Son” Kerry campaign add was bought in conjunction and collusion with Mary Mapes and See.B.S.. Anyone know more about the timing of Kerry’s add buys? I remember them running the add while I knew the story was fake (because I read FreeRepublic) but everyone else was saying that ‘Dan Rather was a respected newsman’ so we should all ignore that a 70’s era document was made on Microsoft Word.

n., pl. -ties.
An exaggerated or grotesque imitation, such as a parody of a literary work.
A debased or grotesque likeness
Dan Rather hawked a complete forgery, a counterfeit, a fabrication--a debased or grotesque likeness [see also Outre Koppelian Wig].

So Ted, are you for lies and falsehoods masquerading as news when they are aimed at a republican?
How many times did you lie to impact elections for your rats.
Ted, you wore out your welcome during the Iranian takeover of our Embassy, and you have been going down hill and hard left since them.
Adios, Ted, we don’t miss you and your starched hair.
