Just goes to show that major GOP candidates will show up for a Values Voter gathering that isn’t chaired by a nutbar like Joe Farah.
Fred bump.
Smart move by Fred. He needs to rally Christian and social conservatives around his candidacy.
No excuse at all. No sane candidate with any real shot of winning the nomination would attend a forum moderated by Joe Farah.
“No excuse at all....”
Really? So has his Highness condescended to actually appear in a debate or has the majesty retired to the comfort of his sanctum yet again?
What in the world are you talking about ???
Not a terribly lucid post, was it?
Ring the bell, the ward nurse will bring your 5pm meds.
Not in the least , and it’s not even entertaining ...
I’ve noticed a lot of trolls going by the variations on the name of men of the cloth.
Given my newbie status, I shouldn’t say that, but I am.
Hmm English, the post was typed in English, you do understand English do you not?
Oh no no no . . .
The question is, do YOU understand English?
Meds? No, how about some coffee Fred is putting me to sleep, he has yet to say anything worthwhile since he mocked that tub o’ lard Moore over “Sicko”.
Since then it’s been ducked debates, shaking hands out in the Florida sunshine, and forgotten topics.
Yawn.
He needs to get it in gear and soon, Hillary almost has the “D” nomination sewn up at 43% and Obama has more donors then all of the Republicans combined online, Rudy is tied with Fred at 23% or so.
“.you do understand English do you not?
Oh no no no . . .
The question is, do YOU understand English?”
Oh, your wit Sir, it has skewered me to the marrow, if it pleaseth the Sir, perhaps you could moderate that shinning intellect for a mere moment, whilst your typewriter catches thine thoughts, it appears that one may be talking out their keyboard....
That's only because they know that without a solid guy like Farah, the 'values' will be plural at best. They'll bask in the wiggle-room provided.

We’ll agree that you typed some English words...
Hurray for you!
Words were English, meaning was gibberish.
Of course he was in Florida , it’s a pivotal state in the primary race, as well as the general election , a state where Rudy must be defeated.
You don’t know much about election strategy , do you ?
Really? So you are aware that his swing through Florida had Fred losing his train of thought while giving a speech, his hands were shaking, and he made a grand total of 3 stops or so on his “swing through the State”...Then he retired to his campaign bus.
You really don’t know much but that his name is Fred and you like him do you?
It’ fine to be a Fanboy, but do try and keep abreast of how Fred is actually doing won’t you?
You still have not demonstrated that you have any idea of how a campaign is conducted .
Who are you supporting ?
“Who are yo supporting”?
Anhonest question, i’m on the Paul and Romney pinglists, though Romney’s list has dropped off, I would like to support Thompson as a Conservative who “gets” the media, he just hasn’t done very much, everytime I get my interest piqued that he is a greyhound ready to run, he turns into a hound dog who stays on the porch.
For example, he had a great interview maybe three weeks ago on Hannity and Colmes, but since then -0- nothing, just a snippet in the St Pete paper about the crowds liking what they heard in the short time that he spoke and in the few stops that he made and even then health issues popped up.
It’s like it’s always something, and I want Fred to do well, as Hillary is just not acceptable at all.
Well, just so you know , he’s hitting a strong segment of the Conservative base and cementing his support with it.
It’s a segment of the Conservative base that has been neglected by the rest of the top tier candidates, and always gets underestimated in primaries, as well as general elections.
It’s the Gun show circuit and gun owners . It will prove to be Rudy and Romney’s undoing and will be Fred’s road to victory , as it is the true grassroots movement that he can depend on .
Only in South Florida is it Rudy’s to lose .
Now that Thompson is in , it will be a different story in the rest of the state .
The Gun issue will play a paramount role in Florida , as it always does , and Rudy is on the Hillary side of it .
The grassroots are in full effect for Fred now that he’s in , and there will be no stopping him .
The way I understand that Fla works is that there is some sort of centralized RNC/FL database named “The Vault” that closely tracks new Republican registrations, and where long time Republicans have moved to in the State.
And my goodness, Fred is the only guy over 10% who is serious about the 2nd amendment’s guarantees, the problem is he isn’t going to campaign in Iowa and hwo will he build any momentum if he doesn’t, Romney and Jules and McFlip flop will all run strong there, that leaves SC.
In modern Republican politics, if a candidate doesn’t win SC, he won’t win.
So that leaves the big question , will Fred pull S.C. ? He stands the best chance .
I think Fred’s calming and laid back style will work quite effectively given the pandering knee-jerk reactionaries that currently inhabit both sides of the isle in this race .

Fred Thompson Busy Fundraising Ahead of Full Weekend Schedule Looks like Fred will be busy all day fundraising, and into tomorrow before heading off to Wyoming for the Saturday morning candidate forum there, and to Iowa for the Iowa Christian Alliance banquet that evening. Sounds like a full schedule!
Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson is in his home state on a fundraising run.Thompson had events booked in Clarksville, Murfreesboro and Franklin. He was also scheduled to raise money in Jackson, Memphis and Drew, Mississippi, on Friday.
The former Tennessee Senator is then scheduled to head for a stop in Wyoming before spending most of next week campaigning in Iowa.
Thompson's only public event in Tennessee so far has been a rally in his hometown of Lawrenceburg earlier this month
Fred Thompson Aiming to Run Strong in Wyoming Fred Thompson Aiming to Run Strong in Wyoming.
David L. Miller of CBS News.com has a fine article on Fred's decision to run hard in Wyoming:
Wyoming, the nation's smallest state by population, will get a rare moment in the political spotlight on Saturday when top-tier Republican contender Fred Thompson drops in for a forum in Casper, the Associated Press notes. Why Wyoming? Last month, the state Republican Party decided to move delegate-selection conventions -- their equivalent of a primary or caucus -- to Jan. 5, well ahead of any other state on the political calendar, including Iowa and New Hampshire. That's a violation of Republican National Committee rules, but unlike its Democratic counterpart, the RNC can only take away half the delegates of a state that breaks the rules. Since Wyoming doesn't get many delegates to start with, the penalty isn't overwhelming.
The state might also become a bit of a freebie for Thompson: He's the only top tier contender who will be visiting the state on Saturday and his persona seems in tune with the state's largely rural and agricultural voting base. It's unlikely that winning in Wyoming will pave the way to the nomination the way a victory in Iowa can, but delegates are delegates, and it looks like Thompson may be trying to lock them up.
Karen Hanretty, the campaign's deputy communications director, told CBS News that the Wyoming stop is part of a mountain state swing that includes a fund-raising stop in Colorado. "It’s just a great opportunity to visit some solld grass-roots Republican activists in the state and explain to them why he’s running," she said. "Fred introducing himself and his principles to the voters in Wyoming at this stage in the campaign is very beneficial."
