Those, like John McCain, who yearn for campaign finance control don’t reveal that it is the power given to congress through the 16th amendment that causes people to attempt to influence lawmakers with financial contributions. It’s not the money that corrupts it’s that power that people are trying to mitigate that corrupts. It also allows for the redistribution of income thereby segregating the population into payers and slackers. The class envy that ensues is corrosive.
The indecipherable tax code loosens citizens attachment to the country’s law. This disrespect for the law is the one place that the political institutions of the country are in most peril. President Lincoln pointed this out in his Lyceum Speech.
Although there is much to disagree with in the opinion of Congressman Paul, he is generally correct on this topic.
Oh wow! YOU cannot answer a single question about Paul. Instead you simply put your hands over your ears and scream “no no no no” at every single question presented you!
Instead of answering every question about Paul with a absurd question back, actually answer the questions posed to you.
YOU people want us to support Paul. OK, simple question for any of you to answer. HOW is Paul going to do any of this?

I believe income tax only accounts for 1/3rd of federal revenues, just cut gov spending back to 2000 levels and we’d be fine.

Interesting that every response by ‘conservatives’ opposed to Paul here is either disagreeing that disbanding the IRS is a good idea (yep, they’re ‘conservatives’ all right) or unable put forth anything but a diatribe about Paul and his followers as ‘Paulbots’ or some other insulting comment.
Not that there’s anything wrong with being all for the IRS, or unable to form a cogent argument. However, folks that fall into those categories are generally allied with the jackass party.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
