The Next President Of The United States... (Values Voters Pick... Mike Huckabee!)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 10/02/2007 | Janet Folger

Unity not only gets us a pro-family President, but it could get us an administration that looks something like this:

President Mike Huckabee

Defense Secretary Duncan Hunter

Director of Homeland Security Tom Tancredo

Attorney General Sam Brownback

Director of Heath and Human Services Alan Keyes

If we combine the votes of these good men, we move from the back of the bus into the driver's seat and select the nominee. It's not only our best way to win the White House, from where I sit, it's the only way. United we drive, divided we crash.

If it's a choice between a nanny state and being killed in the womb, I'll choose the former.

No way. Only Hunter and Tancredo are acceptable. Huckabee is a phony.

How come I can’t get an Attorney General Joe Arpaio, just once?

Here’s a 30-second intro to a request he made of America’s best friend, Vicente Fox:

In a press release issued, former Governor Mike Huckabee took issue with the Tancredo campaign’s characterization of him as a pro-amnesty politician. Unfortunately for the Governor, the facts support the label.

Fact #1. As Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee denounced an immigration bill (Arkansas Senate Bill 206) that “would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and would have required state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally.”
(Doug Thompson, “Immigration Bill un-christian..governor says”Arkansas News Bureau 1/28/05)

Fact #2. As Governor, Mike Huckabee offered a proposal to give state funded scholarships and state benefits to illegal aliens.
(Laura Kellams, “Huckabee Plan would give aid to illegal aliens” Arkansas Democrat Gazette 1/12/2005)

Fact #3. Governor Huckabee supported a Bush-backed immigration plan that provides a path to citizenship for some illegal aliens.
(CNN 2008 Election Center, http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/candidates/mike.huckabee.html)

Well, Fred has been heard saying that he doesn’t understand why we are in Iraq!

For once Newt is right, and Huckabee is my first choice, but I will probably hold my nose and vote for Fred Thompson.

Mike Huckabee needs to stay out of my refrigerator and then perhaps I would take him seriously.

And second they would have to convince those named to accept those positions the named individual has not campaigned for.

With all that has been posted in the negative (and truthful) about Huckabee, I am surprised there was even an attempt to get this to gain traction here on FR.

Huckabee is good at selling - and comes across as a genuinely nice guy (haven’t we heard that about Bill Clinton too...), but in so many ways, Huckabee is one of the biggest Socialists running for the office. His nanny-state, big government, tax-and-spend mentality is enough to make a fiscal conservative want to jump off a bridge.

These kinds of Cabinet speculations are silly.

The nominee of either party it NOT going to load his Cabinet with a bunch of also-ran wannabes.

The winner is going to select his own people for those Cabinet positions.

Show me a statement from Huckabee where he calls for open borders, please.

Not that his will convince you, but as governor, he was very supportive of Hispanic illegals:

Huckabee promotes 'open door' policy at LULAC convention Thursday, Jun 30, 2005 By Wesley Brown Arkansas News Bureau LITTLE ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," Huckabee said, citing the Golden Rule. "I have tried to govern that way and it stands to reason that I really do believe that...

Director of Heath and Human Services Alan Keyes

Notwithstanding the poor use of spell check by WND, this is insulting. Janet Folger is losing it, unfortunately. Huckabee is not what she thinks he is.

or reparations like Keyes supports.

That's the best you Paul people can do?

Keyes doesn't support reparations. He never has.

Those who say he does are just proving that they're either liars or that they can't maintain reading comprehension beyond simple sentences like "See Ron run."

First you support Giuliani. Now Paul.

Maybe someday you'll get around to supporting a conservative.

I would be stunned if Keyes supported reparations. He is about as hard line a conservative as they come. It makes no sense that he would take this stand.

No way Sam Brownback should leave his Senate seat for a cabinet post. Abortion loving Gov Sebelius would appoint another left wing Dem to that seat.
